When the Catholic Church speaks of celibacy, they are talking about not getting married, not an absence of sex. Not having sex is called abstinence in their world.

A celibate priesthood is a discipline of the Latin Rite of the Catholic Church. Many Eastern Rites of the Catholic Church have married priests.

Status: offline 		Plus priests were allowed to marry back in 965. The change came some time later because priests were leaving their money to their heirs not to the church.

Let's see, original quote "Damn, I'm a priest and didn't know it" reply was what type of priest... I replied priest of circumstance. Let's see almost 18 months abstinence and celibacy in my own situation, original quote "Does someone out there want to help me rectify that?" which implies the person being quoted doesn't want their "priest like" situation, in my own case neither do I, but I am not looking to have anyone rectify it either.

Now one person asks the individual I am quoting what type of priest, now I am being told that I am Catholic.

Sigh... though I have always thought the Catholics had cool paraphernalia, I also thought they were more intelligent than say a Fundamentalist. Now I have had my paradigms shifted and have to rethink this.

Simple breakdown, no sex, no religion... but I still have a nun's rosary from my twenties, so perhaps I am a nun too?
