I'm a male Dominant & hypnotist, located in the SE Michigan area. Does it actually work? I'd love to have a domme try hypnosis one me. I'm very skeptical. Anyone who has tried to hypnotize me has failed.

Yes, it certainly does "work". Matter of fact, here's a relatively recent article from the NY Times that summarized how perception is altered via trance, corroborated by changes noted via brain scans:
