The *IDEA* that any third party has any say in the PRIVATE RELATIONSHIP between an insured, their doctor, and their insurer is antithetical to every notion of freedom and liberty we have.

The fact that anyone needs to give testimony to remind people of that is disgusting.

There IS NO WAY to justify the voyeuristic obsession with woman's reproductive healthcare. And frankly, it's not really the kind fetish anyone finds acceptable. It's the same class of sickness as child molesters.

Condoms also help to prevent the spread of stds which cost much more to treat than to prevent.

Even children that are perfect angels cost money to raise, for schools, healthcare, social services, etc. If they dont get the proper guidance they need and turn to a life of crime instead then there are the costs of juvenile detention and years in and out of jail. You do the math. Imo, people having wanted children instead of unwanted children create a better & stronger society.

Not to mention, if the blue pills for old farts that cant get it up or keep it up are paid for by govt then so should contraceptives.

ETA- what amazes the hell outta me is that there are women in the US willing to marry this turd..

Status: offline 		I care about compelled. If this person voluntarily gave their story to anyone that would listen (in the hopes of strengthening the passing of a bill) then, don't paint them as a victim.

This person (unless they were compelled) voluntarily made her story public. Did she think she was going to be alone in a room with a few congressmen? Did she think there would be no publicity on a matter that has already garnered as much attention as it has?

Forget the larger issue of reproduction. I already said that if Mr. Limbaugh knew that the young lady was talking about medical (necessities; not reproductive) issues, he was out of line. It was the first post I made to this thread.

Voyeuristic obsession? How can you make such a broad statement? Maybe this young lady is an exhibitionist and she enjoyed all the attention (see how ridiculous, claiming to know what goes on in someone else's mind is?).

Stop worrying about just this one, and please try to focus on the larger issue at hand.

There are sick, degenerate perverts who think they should know what happens in a treatment room, and that their opinion about that treatment matters.

And when these sick, degenerate perverts are talking about woman's healthcare, that means by definition they're talking about children.

Anyone who encourages these sick, degenerate perverts is just as guilty as they are.

And rather than THROWING THESE SICK FUCKS IN PRISON FOREVER, we're acting like they're reasonable.

No one's privacy is being threatened. Nice strawman, though.

Just to be clear, too: this issue is about tax payers paying for it because Obamacare mandates that every American that doesn't recieve insurance through their employment has to buy coverage through the government. It's all about tax payers.

You want to fix health care in this country? It's so damned easy it's not even funny. Just remove the words "over 65 years of age" from Medicare. Job done. Move on to the next argument.

Imo, no matter if its the govt or insurance companies, the reason they pay for contraceptives or various other medical procedures (like stapling stomachs, etc) is simply about dollars and cents.. its cheaper in the long run to pay for an obese person to get their stomach stapled than the costs of treating diabetes, strokes, heart attacks, meds, gout etc etc etc for decades.. Same thing with contraceptives, cheaper in the long run than the medical and other costs of kids, especially unwanted ones.

As for Rush and his big stupid mouth.. he had to have been dropped on his pointy little head way too many times as a kid... Interesting that he has no kids.. and thank gawd, can you imagine a bunch of little Rushs running around.. ekkkkkkk!!!

In other words, there's no reason for anyone to KNOW if anyone is on birth control, and if so, what kind. And suggesting otherwise is really fucking peverted.

Okay. You've got this in your teeth and you're not going to let it go.

Doctor-patient confidentiality is to protect the patient . The patient is the only person that can violate that protection.

No one is trying to do that. You are muddying the waters and your rants, comparing people with differing opinions than yours to child molesters makes you look less reasoned and level-headed than most of us know you to be.

Well, I could be wrong but under Obamacare (I say it that way because it's the health plan; not the president's name, per se) isn't the employer obligated to offer some benefits? I'm pretty sure that's accurate. I haven't looked at the bill since it was first released (I threw up in my mouth, a little, reading it).

After a young law student, Sandra Fluke, bravely testified on Capitol Hill about how contraceptive services can save women's lives, Limbaugh responded by calling her a "slut" and a "prostitute" and suggested that she and her friends should be required to post sex videos on the internet.

Dating website eHarmony was founded by a Christian theologian and has a long history of catering to Christian singles -- but their ads have recently been airing on Limbaugh's show. With other advertisers beginning to pull out, it's time for eHarmony to drop their ads immediately and permanently.

Sign our petition and tell eHarmony that people of faith don't want them advertising on Rush Limbaugh!

Rush Limbaugh is using "religious freedom" as a fig leaf for vile rhetoric about women who use birth control. eHarmony has built its business on Christian customers, and they must stop advertising on Limbaugh's show immediately.

(eHarmony says they didn't intentionally buy ads on Limbaugh's show and they're still looking into how it happened. But they haven't committed to stopping the ads, so they need to hear overwhelmingly from people of faith -- one of their key customer demographics -- that advertising on Rush Limbaugh is morally unacceptable.)

ProFlowers latest Rush Limbaugh sponsor to pull its business

The number of advertisers who have at least temporarily cut ties with Rush Limbaugh grew to seven on Sunday in the aftermath of the conservative radio host's self-described "insulting word choices" about a female law student.

ProFlowers, an online florist, is one of the latest companies to announce it would halt advertising on Limbaugh's show.

"Mr. Limbaugh’s recent comments went beyond political discourse to a personal attack and do not reflect our values as a company. As such, ProFlowers has suspended advertising on the Rush Limbaugh radio program," it announced on its Facebook page.

ProFlowers, like other Limbaugh sponsors, faced pressure from women's groups to end its relationship with his show after Limbaugh branded Georgetown University law student Sandra Fluke, 30, a "slut" and "prostitute," equating Fluke’s advocacy of expanded coverage for contraceptives with her wanting to be "paid to have sex." Fluke has been a vocal supporter of a new Obama administration rule that mandates greatly expanded access to contraceptives through health insurance plans.

One activist group, UltraViolet, said 91,000 people had signed its petition urging ProFlowers to suspend advertising on Limbaugh's show.

"UltraViolet members are glad that ProFlowers decided to suspend their advertising from the Rush Limbaugh show. … Our members hope that ProFlowers will do the right thing and not only suspend their advertising but pull it permanently," it said in a statement.

Quicken Loans, Sleep Train, Sleep Number, Citrix Systems Inc., Carbonite and LegalZoom also have suspended their advertising with Limbaugh, according to The Associated Press.
