Davy, and the other Monkees, are part of my childhood too...I used to LOVE to watch them on TV, and like most (I don't want to risk any wrath here) teenaged girls, fell madly in lust with him. While I enjoyed The Last Train to Clarksville, my favorite was I'm a Believer. Ironically, I never knew it was written by another icon, Neil Diamond, until I read the YH article on Davy's passing. While I feel for Whitney's family, I too felt nothing more than a strong sense of pity and waste....she could have turned her life around at any given time, had she only wanted to. And, as bad as he was for her, Bobby Brown didn't start her down her path. With Davy's passing, it was definitely an "awwwww, crap" moment. And just for trivia's sake, how many of you know that Mike Nesmith's mom created Liquid Paper?
