When I was 18 he was touring in 'Godspell' in the UK. He had to run through the audience to get to the stage, and I touched his nekkid outer thigh. It was the highlight of my teens! A lovely man...so sad [:(]

Fuck, man... I'm feeling so mortal... that's 6 years older than me. I dig the Monkees. My band before The Love Noodles, Four Car Garage, used to do "Last Train to Clarksville" (an anti-war song, if y'all didn't know) and "Stepping Stone". First band I was ever in, @16, we did "Stepping Stone" (& "I Can See For Miles" by the Who. I'm remembering the songs we used to do. Some obscure shit.). I used to watch 'em on TV. They were all actually pretty talented, Nesmith and Tork particularly so. Bummer.
