[:)] adorable video, i'm a ASL inerpreter and grew up using ASL in our home. our family dog knows (but obviously can not sign): sit, lay down, food, bed, walk, speak aka bark, and no. was pleasantly surprised to see this as a topic or anything ASL related brought up...

[:)] hi GT! That's a tough one..i mean there aren't many sites out there dedicated to teaching ASL. Really, and i'm sure you know..the best way to learn is going to be interacting with someone aka classes. Books are ok but they show flat representations of signs and their movements that for a beginner will be hard to pick up. www.aslpro.com is an online 'dictnary' of sorts. with videos of signs (some areoudated signs or english signs but good enough for beginners) Also the "Signing Naturally" books and dvds from www.dawnsign.com are wonderful educational material!

Thanks, hon!! Yeah, I got a book ages ago, and got frustrated becasue the flat pics' left me wondering if I was doing it right... hugs

You are very welcome. Yup, the books and pictures will do that,i just love how they draw tons of little arrows all around the hands: up, down, left, right, and around in a circle we go. If you cannot take a class your best bet is a dvd. Both dawnsign and harriscommunications have dvds. It's a great language to learn...but i'm biased [:)]

I work at a hotel. We sometimes get folks that are hearing impaired.
