Georgia Democrat proposes limitations on vasectomies for men!  After all, why should men be deprived of the joy of unwanted parenthood?

I, for one, appreciate the levity.  Serving in the Georgia legislature must feel a little bit like a Monty Python skit at times.

No prizes for guessing that the same dangerously sick and twisted sleazebags who propose to criminalise miscarriages by females will find reasons to argue that the proposal to regulate male fertility is an intolerable intrusion into the human rights of males. [:D]

MrRodgers -> RE: Every sperm is sacred (2/22/2012 5:15:21 PM)

...but doesn't every sperm 'have-a-right-to-life ?' I mean that's all that they are there for...correct ?

Kinda makes me think of all of those fertile eggs we have for breakfast and those 'fertile' young lamb we slaughter for their sweet loin.

Do we draw the line at human life ? Mankind lives by killing where the Bhuddists didn't think we needed it. They were right.

But hey, when stem-cell research becomes Nazi Eugenics...all bets are off. (Santorum)

I think this is all a plot from the White House to energize the base.

I only have (at 53) 4,765,817,247,721 sperm left.

I'm holding.

In 15 years I'll have easily 70% of those fuckers left and I ain't selling until the price is right.

Damn, there goes my sperm bank/snip idea.

FR

"Because there's a line in Genesis about not spilling your seed. A random brainfart from some desert dweller 3,000 years ago, before people knew about germs or atoms or round planets, and it gets written down and passed down and in 2012 people like Rick Santorum are still too R-word to see that, and that's why some woman in Akron, Ohio might not get birth control."

For a chuckle read this

If the dems took the same time and energy they spend on making the repubs look bad (which in my opinion they do a pretty good job of themselves without help) and put it into fixing things in this country, they might get something accomplished.

Would this render masturbation a felony? Juvenile charges to be laid for pecker tracks in the bed?

What, you mean like laws to restrain Wall Street and the banks, increasing spending on infrastructure, stuff like that? Um, OK, just convince the Republicans to get out of the way for a bit then...

Thanks I forget to mention the time they spend blaming everything on the other side.

Just reading the news paper doesn`t take very much energy.

And we have been getting "things" accomplished, in spite of you cons.

Did you even read the op? When did the thread become about reading the paper?

If they can get every male teenager in Georgia into the prison workforce, that might well be the economic miracle the state needs.

I understand the sentiment, boi, and I'm not too far from you in that thinking. But if we pay attention to the intent concerning the intentionally half-hearted legislative proposal and the video in the OP, it should be apparent that the effort is something more than simple 'blaming the other side.'

The intention is to point out the invasive nature regarding the female body of the several felony miscarriage laws being proposed, and is but one of several modalities being invoked to counteract this invasion of religion into government.

How about we worry how much time is being wasted on these religious mandates in the law making process rather than fixing the genuine ills that the country is currently being subjected to due to the ideology (almost a religion) of deregulation?
