Approval rating for Bush... In the time of national crisis following the September 11 attacks, polls showed approval ratings of greater than 85%, peaking in one October 2001 poll at 92%, and a steady 80–90% approval for about four months after the attacks. Afterward, his ratings steadily declined as the economy suffered and the Iraq War initiated by his administration continued. By early 2006, his average rating was near 40%, and in July 2008, a poll indicated a near all-time low of 22%. Upon leaving office the final poll recorded his approval rating as 19%, a record low for any U.S. President. As people started questioning the WMD claims and the war dragged on, his approval suffered and never recovered.

The future cannot be systematically predicted. If you don't believe me, then write a book saying how it can. Now should I get all whacked out and say that you are saying I said things I did not say? I don't believe you, and I will not write a book. There has yet to be any discussion of market behavior. Your horrible non-examples of non-sequitur really don't have much to do with Obama's approval ratings, and it is sort of a capitulist neo con meme to avoid dealing in topical fact. But I don't know your politics, so it may be you like to fantasize joe the plumber scenarios rather than deal with the tawdry facts and figures of real world.

YOU.READ. THE. CHART!!! It has no correlation whatsoever. The only correlation in that chart is that approval ratings and gas prices occur independently, but at the same time on earth, when viewed in the same timeline. What is the percentage bubble gum wrappers produced vs tons of cement on a yearly basis? Your chart answers that with an equivalent degree of confidence as it does what it purports to correlate. I conclude you are innumerate, and it is an unfortunate thing, but very widespread in America, we don't have enough training in maths, and logic and reason. I hope Obama's second term will try to correct that, now that we are dumping that dogshit albatross of a no child left behind fantasy.

FOCUS. I didn't ask for a recapitulation of his stupid fuckin WIN buttons. Nixon, (to the left of your non-correllated chart left of Ford) was where gas went from .389 to .589, and it didnt contribute in any meaninful way to HIS ouster. when Ford took office gas was running about .589 a gallon, when he left .649 a gallon. Other energy was inflating cost more due to deregulation, ineptitude in inflation was what done him in. gas goes up .06 a gallon and a loaf of bread goes up a buck........ innumerate. irrational. fantasy. So, how about that Obama's approval rating hah? Or is that inflated because the congress has a 10%er?
