Yes, I've seen that, and enjoyed it. Obviously, her maternal instincts were aroused. Such cross-species acts in Nature are not as uncommon as many believe.

I believe it must have had a bittersweet ending, as since she was not in milk, herself, there would be no way to provide the monkey with food, so it would inevitably slowly starve to death.

Sheesh, sorry about this GT. The leopard was interviewed some time later and couldn't understand what all the fuss was about; it explained that, sod sympathy, it was just keeping the little snack for later for when it got hungry again after the mum main meal.

Actually it died of cold during the night. The film its from is called 'The Eye of the Leopard'. If you ever get chance to watch it you should. I had no idea that leopards had so many predators, the main ones being baboons who will quite competently rip a leopard apart.
