How many people making millions in bonuses in the financial industry, or people in this administration, or people in the last 3-4 administrations do not have such personal history?


Is any of their continuing the 'war on drugs' thing any more hypocritical than the guy who instigated it, Reagan, for the latter importing cocaine (obviously 'just saying yes') into the US  while spending all that tax money on the "just say no" campaign?

Carter was pushing for national decriminalization of weed (following what was happening increasingly in many states, that quaint pre-Reagan notion of listening to the people and all that still in place in those days), then his son Chip got busted for cocaine possession less than a month later, which could have been done anytime in the two years prior. What a coincidence.

Game over for that.

My sister got busted for 24 small plants in her car in 1978, rural NC, $20 fine for misdemeanor charge.

Reagan came along; we haven't recovered since.

Yes, I know. I just thought that since they interviewed Newt's ex, that an interview with one of Pres. Obama's street pharmacists would be interesting in light of this topic/question.

But Owner keeps talking about Kenya.

The interview I'd like to see is with the guy who allegedly was the model for the "Ray" character in the President's (first?) autobiography. He tells the stories a bit differently.

As for the other thing, I'd say he's making a personal attack by trying to smear you with a birther label, and attempting to hijack a completely legitimate discussion.

Howevermuch Hearst and the chemical and the pharma industries were were responsible for initial "Reefer Madness" movies and successful outlawing of the herb (and aside from above post missing out on fact of the latter two having much greater financial interest in the matter than Hearst), society had recovered from it for the most part by the 70's.

But then 'Mr. Deregulation' came along and sent us back to the middle ages regarding government regulation of personal issues.

So then, from your other post we are to have it that Marxism is a concern while in fact having no reasonable expectation or in fact possibility of meaningful effect on society whatsoever, while you so insistently ignore reality as exhibited in this matter?

Get a clue.
