The consensus seems to be "Crazy asshole"

I agree

I think you left out an option, Hill: "lefty" asshole.

I did a little bit of research into Arkansas' 3rd Congressional District. Not a thesis, but enough to reinforce my initial impressions.  I don't have proof, but my gut says that it is most likely Burris himself, in an attempt to garner sympathy and attention.

I know it isn't popular but, I blame the cat.

Obviously, this person had an issue with the cat's politics. Perhaps if the cat hadn't been sharing his views with this person, the person would not have taken umbrage and the cat would still be alive.

Seriously, I've seen cats after street fights where their eye was hanging out of its socket (the animal was dead, obviously). Just as a guess, I'm thinking the poor animal met its demise and the owner saw an opportunity to make political hay.

Hey! Maybe he should look into a job in politics?

Peace and comfort,

Michael

Hey, Gamma, thanks.

I don't need any copies, but just wanted to say that I thought the comments about me was pretty funny, actually (or they were at the time I went off-forums last night).

I understand why they were removed, but FYI, I didn't mind.  Sometimes the best technique to counter such comments is humor, rather than anger or disappearance.

Best wishes! [;)]

How the hell do you spray paint a long word like liberal on the side of a cat?  How the hell do you spray paint any word on the side of a cat?

The fact that a word was inscribed makes me inclined to agree with Firm.  I've noticed over the years that whenever you have some message scrawled on somebody it often turns out to be the person themself (EG Tawana Bwaley).  I don't know why that is, it's just some weird aspect of human nature that makes people think they'll garner more sympathy.

Ultimately, however, it doesn't matter what political affiliations the perpertrator had.  This will just be the latest in a long line of the usual, partisan, biogted, guilt by association, bullshit.  "Oh look what one of them did!  This proves that they are all bad... just like I always knew!"

The singular fact remains that somewhere out there is one sick, evil, fucktard and whatever ideology he spouts is nothing more than lame excuses for his sick behavior... which, as far as I'm concerned, is the purpose of all ideolgies.

Cats are the second coolest creatures walking the planet and anyone who would do this to a cat (or any innocent creature for that matter, it just pisses me off more that it's a cat) needs to be hung upside down by the balls via fish hooks and beaten with barbed wire.

Any volunteers?

I was waiting for the inevitable and expected blaming of the victim. The claim they did this horrible act to get sympathy is pretty disgusting. And almost as cruel as killing someone`s beloved pet.

I`m just disappointed that is was a con I respected.

Oh, good grief, Owner ...

None of us know shit about who did it and why.

All I am doing is pointing out that the knee-jerk reactions are based on ignorance and pre-disposed beliefs.

Kill the messenger, why doncha? [;)]

When our right wing crazies working the SC Primary were doing it on hamsters, they had to use stencils

Which makes it pretty easy to see them in others.

Airbrush and a modest sized nozzle. An aerosol can would probably leave too thick a line for anything smaller than a German Shepherd, and the photo doesn't look like a stencil was used.
(Another advantage is that an airbrush can use something less toxic than the enamel paint that's in most spraycans.)

outhere69 -> RE: Rightie or just crazy asshole? (1/24/2012 11:04:24 AM)

Hell, I figured they would have to use a magic marker on a cat.  Didn't know they could get that close with a can.

(Blame the dim bulb between my ears on the clogged sinuses! [:D])

Everyone knows they have them, Firm. Even in this you cannot put yourself above the "rabble" no matter how much you want too.

Always looking for that distinction that makes you "better"

Yeah, I was thinking along the lines of a spray can.  An air brush sounds like it would be too much work.  From the picture it looks more like a marker of some sort was used.  Not that it really matters one way or the other.
