All good points, but few people know how to "read" a dogs behaviors (facial, posture, etc.) well enough to interpret when their advances are not desired or appropriate. I agree, we all need to learn how to do this, and teach humans (big and little), how to respect animals, understand pack dynamics and mentality, and not just barge into their surroundings or physical space & body, willy nilly, by touching, petting, etc. Any dog mayl bite when abused, threatened, anxious, fearful, insecure, over-excited, or aggressive. It it's got teeth, it can bite!
