Hey everyone. So call me a novice. Call me a newb. Call me clueless and lost. I have been wanting to get more involved in bdsm community, activity, and hopefully a relationship for a while now. The only problem is, I have NO idea how to start! I'm in Southern California. There seems to be a pretty active scene here, but the only "real" connections I've made have been with pro dommes. I don't want that. I can't afford that. So what do I do? Where do I go? I'd love to hear not only suggestions from some of you, but also some experiences. How were you personally introduced to bdsm and what led you there?

Heya :) Welcome to CM! How do you meet potential vanilla people? Go out to where they are...you're in SoCal, a mecca of opportunity..have you looked on Fet for munches near you? Do lots and lots of reading..you have a wealth of information right here on CM. Make heavy use of the search button ;)

You're a novice. You're a newb. You're clueless and lost. Glad to help. Google "BDSM <your city>". That should start you finding out what's local to you. Welcome to collarme.
