Please define what you mean by "fake". Fake has meant many things, including kinksters whose ideas on kink do not match up with someone else's.

If your idea of fake is equivalent to mine, it is when you have a profile that is clearly intended to harvest suckers, with the end result being:
1. A slavegirl who needs relocation money,
2. A female shilling a pay site, and possibly
3. A tribute Domme who is not up front about wanting tribute in her profile.

Assuming that that is your question, then the answer is because someone decided to see if he or she could make some money.

They do it because it's a free site so there is no investment required except 5 minutes of time and there are people stupid enough to fall for it.

Since they lack experience and thus, have zip of value to give but opinions (Sticks tongue out in glee!) all the fakes give newbies something to post about :-)

It's because it's the easiest way to attempt to accomplish the goal (whatever that goal may be) because it's easier to hook those who also want to get what they want with the least amount of effort.

You're in LA. We've got posters that are on the forums who can give you information about what is going on in the area. If nothing else, check out The Lair. (The owner of that club is a member of this site as well.) You can definitely find people around here who are active in your local community.
