And, in the meantime, the eyes have turned away from the approval ratings.

Moonhead -> RE: So now, the remaining candidates jockey to find out... (1/6/2012 5:13:38 AM)

They're obviously happier fillibustering and letting the other party carry the blame for the damage they've done to the economy for another four years, looking at the shower of potential nominees they've dug out. A couple of them look even worse than Sorebutt, which is no mean feat...

Well, Obama just put the Republican obstructionism on the front page, since he had to make recess appointments to ensure the functioning of the executive branch.

And a small pissy whine on the Boener unanimous consent to raise the debt ceiling (a phone it in caterwauling, of absolutely transparent dishonesty; if you'd rather) ........cowardly as well as paragons of bumptious ineptitude, that congress.

Obama and Romney are said to be roughly the same. Romney still has some advantage. He can pretend to be a candidate of CHANGE, while Obama can not. I guess, nobody would buy it. I am not certain though, Obama is a damn good con artist.

Ok, reading your post resulted in my eyes rolling quite a bit. Yes, Obama is a con artist... they all are. Everyone of them. There is no way to be a politician and not get eaten alive unless you are.... I am speaking of the Federal level before someone starts.

Lucylastic -> RE: So now, the remaining candidates jockey to find out... (1/6/2012 6:32:22 PM)

politics attracts nasty people, even at office level(in my very humble opinion)
One of the main reason I work for myself is that I dont have to work with backstabbing office politics.
IM a bitch without all that shit goin on tooo

I think Obama's problem is he got lazy. Looking at the winning speech crowd in total ecstasy, there was a great potential to push the momentum. Regrettably,  Obama transformed into teleprompter reading weak character, a bankers sock puppet. How will it play out, we will see.

TRANSFORMED? Obama didn't transform into shit. He is EXACTLY as advertised before the election and if you're surprised by *anything* Obama's done since being elected, you simply weren't paying attention BEFORE the election.

I guess so, I did not pay detailed attention. Alex Jones published documentary "Obama deception" (also look at "Lifting the Veil", by progressives) that basically described the issue in detail. Perhaps it was just a deception. I was expressing the spirit as it was generally felt. Obama was supposed to be the peoples president. This is why he won. I said Obama became lazy. It was wrong description. Actually, Obama made a decision not to attempt to capitalize on public support.  I am wondering how this fact will play out this year. There is a cult Obama (basically blind support), a group of die hard Democrats, lesser-of-two-evils group, the ignorants and few others, plus the electoral system itself that is flawed. The question is if this is enough to give Obama the second term?

Fellow, as a woman, as a liberal, non religious person, and considering looking at all the socialistic moralising and destruction of womens rights over their bodies and gay marriage/adoption. There is only one evil and they pass themselves off as being the God fearing Right.
I obviously realise that that is not the be all and end all of what should matter while voting, but for me it IS a deal breaker.
Its NOT a case of being PRO obama it is a case of being PRO human rights.
Which goes away from Republicans at almost every turn, especially in the past few years.

They have already proved themselves of being incapable of running the country since Reagan..
Not that I think the dems have been any better.
The country is in the grips of big business, not what is best for the people who work for them.

Moonhead -> RE: So now, the remaining candidates jockey to find out... (1/8/2012 12:32:43 PM)

It's actually quite amusing to consider that the last President you had who didn't have the oil industry's hand up his arse was Carter, when you look what happened to that poor bastard during his single term.
Bit of a signal to everybody who's been sworn in since, what?

Probably not. If/When Obama wins (you guys can do the speculating), it will be because the Republicans lost...seriously, look at these candidates. Are they even trying to win this election?

I am sure you wont mind... Alex Jones is a tin hat leader. I have no desire to read or listen to anything that man presents. Find a more credible source.

The lesser of two evil group are not die hard Democrats. You need to redefine that defition. For me, Bush was the lesser of two evils when it came to him or Kerry.

I really resent being called ignorant. I suggest you rethink that position as well.
