"Asked when his father will release his tax returns, Matt Romney said, "I heard someone suggest the other day that as soon as President Obama releases his grades and birth certificate... then maybe he'll do it."

Huntsman was also asked Friday if he's willing to release his tax returns. He responded that he believes that information is already out there.

Too bad Huntsman isn't getting much notice.  He is somebody I could and would consider voting for.  In fact, I had concerned changing my voter registration to republican so that I could it in the primaries, but I have a feeling Huntsman will be dropping out long before the PA primaries.

I like that guy.He still has a future but not this time around.

I have a feeling Mett`s going to have to defend this and his dodging of the tax return questions.

Doesn`t the kid know that all candidates release their financials when running for POTUS?

Done!

President Barack Obama's re-election campaign is fundraising off of comments on Obama's birth certificate by Mitt Romney's son Matt.
Matt Romney joked in New Hampshire Thursday that his father would release his tax returns if Obama released his grades and birth certificate. "I heard someone suggest the other day that as soon as President Obama releases his grades and his birth certificate ... then maybe he'd do it," Matt Romney said in an exchange that was captured in a video by Patch.com.

After Matt Romney made the joke, his brother Tagg chimed in to say that it was not his father saying that.

"He has not said that he will not do it, and he's also not said that he will," Matt Romney said about whether his father would to release his tax returns. "I don't know the answer to that. I'm not sure he knows the answer to that, but he'll do everything that he needs to. He's certainly not afraid of anything, he's not hiding anything."

Matt Romney created a Twitter account Friday and wrote, "I repeated a dumb joke. My bad."

The Obama r-eelection campaign sent out a fundraising email Friday afternoon with the subject line, "The birth certificate thing again?"

No sense of humor at all. It was a joke for fucks sake. If it had been said about a repub you would have laughed your ass off and if they had worked the word "tard" in, you would have pissed yourself.

Even tho it was a joke, I bet Mitt told the boy to please STFU.

Nothing like an out-and-out lie for a thread title to grab the readers attention, eh, NJ59? In a race to the partisan idiocy bottom, it might be a foto-finish with Private Idaho.

Hmmm... didn't know Romney's SON was running for President?!!  Oh wait... he's not -- you're just LYING... yet again. [8|]

Owner59 -> RE: GOP frontrunner joins birthery-bigotty-bunch (1/1/2012 7:47:15 AM)

Well...in politics....your surrogates are also part of a campaign.

And it wasn`t the "joke" so much as the topic, that`s the outrage.

If someone joked "I heard someone suggest the other day, that hitler was a decent guy",...........sorry..........not funny.

Or a joke.

I don`t care if Matt "was joking".....Mitt, gets the blame.

And the president gets to use it to raise donations.

He should have. The ones running say enough stupid shit without the kids jumping in too.

tazzygirl -> RE: GOP frontrunner joins birthery-bigotty-bunch (1/1/2012 10:18:39 AM)

Matt is hardly a "kid" .... he is 41.

Owner59 -> RE: GOP frontrunner joins birthery-bigotty-bunch (1/1/2012 10:43:26 AM)

And Matt was "just joking".[8|]

When your favorite defendent rush was calling the president "Barack the magic nigro"....it was "just a joke"....[8|]

Side thought, does Mitt`s other kids have names like Samm or Ronn or Tomm?[:D]

tazzygirl -> RE: GOP frontrunner joins birthery-bigotty-bunch (1/1/2012 10:45:08 AM)

nope [:D]

The Romneys' first son, Tagg, was born in 1970[32] while both were undergraduates at Brigham Young[37] and living in a basement apartment.[25] They subsequently welcomed Matt (1971), Josh (1975), Ben (1978), and Craig (1981).

A "surrogate" is "One that takes the place of another; a substitute" -- clearly this is not the case with Romney's son, and clearly your OP was yet another lie. [8|]

And that changes the LIE in the OP (or your lame excuse for the LIE) how?!!  It doesn't.  [8|]

Answering questions at a campaign stop,a meeting with seniors, on the campaign trail in NH, about his dad`s tax returns?

He could have just answered the question posed by a New Hampshire primary voter(,NH,the nation`s 1st primary election).

Is it surprising you`re with the birther-bigotty-bunch?

FR:

This tax return thing is going to hurt Mitt if he keeps dodging it.Maybe he`s planning to release them later,as a strategy, but this "it`s none of your business" crap make him even more suspect.

What is he trying to hide?

MasterSlaveLA -> RE: GOP frontrunner joins birthery-bigotty-bunch (1/1/2012 11:30:32 AM)

Lying yet again in your OP... what are YOU trying to hide?!! [8|]

tazzygirl -> RE: GOP frontrunner joins birthery-bigotty-bunch (1/1/2012 12:49:11 PM)

Maybe Matt needs to contact Chelsea to learn how to handle politically volatile questions.
