I scrolled down and looked. Basically the same photo with the same people holding the pad and camera from a different angle in a different diner. The 'paperprompter' is genuine folks.

Status: offline 		What's the big deal, anyway?  Everyone knows that the President does not write his own speeches, although he should provide input to them.  His time is precious, and spending it memorizing when there are time saving devices, is ridiculous.

Status: offline 		I agree.. its not a big deal for any of them. Why certain politicians decided to make an issue of it is beyond me. But now they are being viewed as hypocrites. Not for the use of the instruments, but for the criticism of others using them.

Evidently... I was WRONG.

I am still rather puzzled as to why the distortion only appears around the text, though?!!  Will have to ask some graphic artists friends for an explanation.

Obama held is own in that debate with, what, 4 or 5 Republicans on health care on national TV?  That was one hell of a teleprompter!!

Strange that teleprompters are all the meme now.  They started back with Eisenhower.  Bet they were clunky buggers, too!
