Policemen appeals his firing over driving drunk at 143 MPH: http://www.denverpost.com/news/ci_19636151

Note that there may have been an incident a year previously when he pulled a gun on a Mickey D's employee for perceived slow service.

"The extraordinary high speed alone is stunning. The fact that you drove at this dangerous speed while your ability to drive was impaired by alcohol is shocking. In addition, you were driving at night and with a passenger in the car," (the Judge) Martinez wrote."

I think some mention of the gun pointed at the McDonalds employee may have been appropriate in his sentencing discussion with the Judge.

Pretty excellent - the McDonalds incident could have been like Falling Down. It reminds me of a serious but very funny incident a few years ago where I am, when two police men just went on the piss at a local pub while on duty at the US Embassy, carrying some fairly heavy weight guns, and then attacked each other over whose round it was next! They had to be separated by other customers, and were then brawling on the pavement outside! The fighting went on intermittently afterward at the Embassy! Then one had enough and went home early, speeding of course for which he was arrested.

Now the cop's trial ? I would have released every person he ever busted.

For some reason police type jobs seem to attract a lot of people (mostly men it seems) with a lot of different psychological issues.
Term, I wonder why that is?
