Brand new Michelins of the right size for free up to the cost of the old tires and a ten percent discount above that. I think the cost for the tires to me was under $40 and over $550 to them. If I start a business you wanna be purchasing director/expeditor ? Actually Sears is a bit easier to deal with. They get the price but don't give it so they CAN excel in warranty replacement. Actually that is a successful business strategy, after the sale people are satisfied, if you really know how to play that, you can do really good business. When I was in business, the warrantee was a killer selling point. I sold used items with the same warrantee that was given by the manufacturer. I never had to advertise, not one flyer, not one mailer, not one door to door, not one anything. Word of mouth and a small sign in front, that is all I needed. That is because things do break, whether in or out of warrantee, what you do at that point detemines whether you have a customer for life, or have to advertise. I NEVER advertised, period. Never had to. The business dissolved because of internal strife (partner(s)). From what I heard people were beating on the doors after we were gone. I don't think we had much in the way of obligations, like warrantee claims or anything, well I hope. Never did before. ETA : in retail, it is what happens after you get their money that counts. T^T
