Moonhead -> RE: Is WalMart destroying the GOP? (12/22/2011 12:41:59 PM)

If the taxpayer is underwriting business expenses she's too cheap to pay herself, then it's everybody's business
Or are you cool with socialism so long as it's one of the plutocracy getting a handout from the eevil Federal Government rather than somebody who actually fucking needs it?

slvemike4u -> RE: Is WalMart destroying the GOP? (12/22/2011 2:15:37 PM)

Do you really need to ask ?
I mean seriously Moon, you've been around a good long time, read enough of his posts and all.Perhaps it was rhetorical?......lol.

Moonhead -> RE: Is WalMart destroying the GOP? (12/22/2011 3:36:43 PM)

Rhetorical: just making a point that he's never gonna notice by himself...

99 percent of you people have no earthly idea what a Republican or a Conservative is or believes. In the end you will vote for Dear Leader. And get more of the same. And wonder why.

That's because 99% of the people (unfortunately, really about 80% or so) don't know what a conservative is because...they've never seen one. The only possible exception in national govt. or on the national stage...is Ron Paul and that's only because he's running national.

mnottertail -> RE: Is WalMart destroying the GOP? (12/22/2011 3:50:25 PM)

Every time I see that name I think of Ganga-Hrolf...just sayin'.

Moonhead -> RE: Is WalMart destroying the GOP? (12/22/2011 3:51:43 PM)

Don't let Hrolfgar hear you saying that...

mnottertail -> RE: Is WalMart destroying the GOP? (12/22/2011 3:53:59 PM)

OH, Hrolfgar is a totally different kettle of fish.

Moonhead -> RE: Is WalMart destroying the GOP? (12/22/2011 3:56:50 PM)

Wasn't he the lad who got Ganga-Hrolf exiled in that saga?

mnottertail -> RE: Is WalMart destroying the GOP? (12/22/2011 3:57:46 PM)

I believe so, but that is not to say that ALL Norwegians are named Rolf.

And for those of you who are wondering what these two blokes are on about, it is also acceptable to spell it Gunga-Hrolf.

Just as you see Wal-Mart and Walmart and WalMart and variations, yes; this is not a derail.

Thanks in advance for your understanding in this matter.

Moonhead -> RE: Is WalMart destroying the GOP? (12/22/2011 3:59:46 PM)

Of course not. Some of them are named Count Grisnahkt.

I've been mulling this idea over for some time.

Decades ago the mainstream of the Republican party was charecterized by people often called "Main Street Republicans" which was a short hand way of saying small town business people, pragmatic fiscal conservatives with no strong position on social issues. Today there no longer seems to be such a movement. Why?

Is it possible that when WalMart moved into small towns across America and destroyed the small businesses in those communities the mainstream of the Republican party died as well?
\

actually that is an interesting observation, derives to the more corps the more mobs the more mob think the less republican

here is one for ya dahlin

the gubafia created the office of citizen to operate in the public.  in america you must be a citizen subject to be a part of government.

However even though that does in fact make you a shareholder, stock holder, and government EMPLOYEE you receive no check and you cannot even get legal services from the gubafia you work for.  In fact you pay for their legal services to rule you! LOL

chew on that one for a while LOL

Answer to the rhetorical:

Its none of your fucking business how much money she has, wants or needs.

You know DomKen I was thinking something similar to that!
I was thinking "Is Oblunder killing the Democratic Party?"
What do you think, a thread?
My nephew who just graduated uni in May and his friends who all voted for Oblunder and are un/under employed.
(No BMW's for them.)
My nephew is driving a bus part time, one of his friends is working at a phone center, one of his (very) pretty female classmates with a degree in Bus Adm is a waitress in a restaurant, and they're the "lucky" ones because they have jobs, even if they're only,...." Obama jobs."
He tells me it's abysmal for most of his classmates.
And as his uncle I feel it's my duty to constantly *break his balls* for voting for Obama.
He said that (he) and "all of his friends" voted for Oblunder, somehow,....... I don't think that's going to be the case this time around. [;)]

I think the GOP is killing the GOP. They've been lost since St. Ronald.

Peace and comfort,

Reagan....the Patron Saint of ever increasing debt.

Actually, I was a registered Republican until 2000.

I voted, proudly, for President Reagan and held my nose while voting for King George I, both times.

King George I did my head in though and I began to realize I no longer held the same views as the Republican party so, it was time for me to go.

I would vote for President Reagan, again if it were possible. He never would have signed a free trade agreement and he truly knew what "Shock And Awe" meant when it came to military actions.

Peace and comfort,

Michael

(Actually, he signed 3 free trade agreements....1 with South Korea, 1 with Pakistan and the 3rd with Vietnam).

Ken, it's cool you posted this, and I agree to a significant extent but you have a weird way of putting it. Walmart destroying the GOP ? My question is whether your particular angle here is that they do this intentionally, or this percieved harm is unintentional.

So many of Walmart's business practices are very hometown unfriendly and even dastardly when it comes to wiping out local competition that it is clear that they have had an effect.

However if the question is whether or not they have been detrimental ESPECIALLY to the GOP as opposed to the dems or whoever else might be crawling out the wordwork soon, I think not. To hurt the GOP, they would have to be associated with same I think. Peoples' perception is the only hurt that matters to a political party, losing votes. Everything else means shit. To them.

As far as Walmart's intentions I would imagine that they are for any President, as long as his face appears to them on a federal reserve note.

T^T

Anyone that wants to (chooses to) compete with WalMart.....can.

Some do.

When either people get LLC protection or corporations lose it,this "corporations are people too" crap just won`t fly as fair.
