There is no doubt that there was a House of David, Jewish kings who ruled a nation called Isreal from Jerusalem. Which was destroyed by the Romans in c70a.

And that implies ‘racially pure’ peoples are somehow superior to those that are impure. Only the racially pure or homogeneous are entitled to nationhood. Surely there’s no need for me to list the evils that notions of racial purity generate, is there?

Is there any way that anyone can claim that this position is not racist to its very core too?

Is it a comment on the sad state of Zionism that its apologists here are relying on a notion of racial purity to find yet another excuse to deny Palestinians their right to nationhood? Zionists should disown support that relies on such a fatally compromised basis as this. I'm not even going to bother commenting on the irony of the very same people who promiscuously accuse their political opponents of racism advancing an argument that is racist to its very core. We all know the 'H' word.

No matter which way we examine it, it seems Newt’s logic is utterly racist and repugnant.

You need to learn the definiton of "nationality" apparently. And the Jews had a continuous presence in Jerusalem, less populous in the first 1000 years AD but by 1600 the Jewish population started to explode. The myth that they didnt return into the 20th century is one of those brainwashings youve had.

In the second paragraph he accuses Newt of asserting that that Palestinains do not deserve a state.

Reality is the opposite. Newt does support a Palestinian state, and has for decades, in fact this thread started with a pic of him shaking hands with Arrafat.


So I don't see what is valid or good about an article strawmanning Newt's actuall positions...
