Thank you for understanding that. many don't so I was using "patriotic American" in the more colloquial, "My-country's-always-right-no-matter-what" type of way.

I do question this government because I consider myself to be a patriot. I would like to bore you with an excerpt from the mission statement of an op/ed website I used to run but this isn't the proper place. In that statement, I make the point that speaking out, when your country is wrong is an act of patriotism.
