A friend sent me a text today that wasn't meant for me. I'm not going to reveal its contents but it reminded of the two times made this mistake.

I once wrote a text to my sister saying 'I am going to tell him that I am leaving him tonight when I get home' and promptly sent it to him instead of her.

Another was after a fall out with my now ex. I wrote a message that went, 'you are a complete bastard and I never want to see you again'. A minute after id sent it I get a message back from my son saying. 'I'm really sorry mum please tell me what I did?'

Anyone else ever sent a text message to the wrong person?

Just once but it wasn't a big deal. I sent my daughter a text asking her what time she wanted to go out to dinner. She texted back saying she didn't know we were. It was actually meant for a friend.

i've sent texts to the wrong people. it's usually when i have a new phone and i'm still figuring out how to use it. i've sent some weird stuff to my friend but she knows me very well so it's ok. i've sent some ranty messages that should have gone to my ex, but have gone to Him instead. thankfully he knew what was going on and would let me know i'd sent it to the wrong person.

My new phone threads texts, so I can see what I last said, and to whom, before I write a message. Before that, though, I checked and double checked to make sure. [:o]

I've only done it once -- sent a text meant for a friend to my mom's number. Luckily, it wasn't anything particularly weird, we were just going to meet up before a party.

Yes I have.......a girl I was involved with has a first name very near my daughter's name in spelling.

I don't send texts anymore. After a 3AM text (Vodka may have been involved) to someone I thought I'd deleted - it's better I don't use that function any more.

This comes back to a time a couple of years ago when I was directing a play which featured a woman holding a man at gunpoint.

I'm discussing by text the script with the actress whilst texting with a female friend on her way to meet a new dom.

The text?

'Make sure you have the gun in your handbag when you meet him. Wait until he greets you then pull it out. Don't shoot him. Just hold him at gunpoint.'

Guess who got the text?

I sent a boob shot to my landlord telling him I wanted him to "fuck my tits, baby". He had the same name as my boyfriend.
He's looked at me weird ever since. Sigh.

I was with a lady with the same name as my sister in law.

I never *actually* sent the wrong text to the wrong number, but there were a couple of near misses...

I check, double check and triple check texts lol.

Although once I was just texting a friend that I was leaving work now, and signed it "Love you."

To which my boss replied, "Love you too, dear."

Master has sent me some strange texts at times because he has me listed near the names of some of his friends lol.

I usually write back with "wtf?" or "huh?" lol

Sometimes I wonder if we started a conversation that I don't remember lol

Only once. I meant to send a text to the woman I was involved with at the time saying, "Morning, beautiful." Accidently sent it to a male friend of mine.

Every since then, I haven't sent a text right after waking up.

I had no clue what she was talking about -- but i replied yes you do and i have pictures to prove it.

Some of these are really funny.

NuevaVida that text reminds me of a recent telephone conversation with my ex husband. For years we always finished a phone call with 'love you' and 'I love you too' and in a recent phone conversation that just popped out. I put the phone down and text him 'well actually Im really glad we still get along but I don't really love you' and he text back and said 'its ok I had a slip of the tongue there too and I don't love you either' [:)]
