I won't let dogs on the furniture with me but the kids invite them. My daughter's almost 5'10" and there was nothing so comical as her and an 80 lb dog sleeping together on a twin bed. How either of them got a minute rest I will never know.

For some reason, I adopted a 4 year old, 125lb Great Pyrenees mix.
She is like a small horse (we don't tell her that though, we tell her she is petite and delicate, as to not ruin her self esteem).
She is a big, lazy, drooling beast. She's incredibly protective and obedient.
The only issue we have is that she has no "size awareness".
The children will be sitting on the couch, and Bella will climb up to join them (she think she's people), and suddenly 3 of the kids will be covered in dog.
She also has no idea how large her back end is (I can relate to this part), and whilst attempting to plunk it down, often lands her massive posterior on my foot, or knocks the trying-to-learn-to-walk one year old onto her noggin in the process.
There is no solution to this, really, I just wanted to share a snapshot of my life.
