I've always planned on being cremated, since I think it is wrong to take up space after you die. Plus, I read too many of those buried alive stories when I was a kid. So, when they burn me, I would be thrilled to produce some energy too.

I hope it catches on here in the US -- cremations are still kind of unpopular here, though. The article mentions that, for most american crematoriums, it's just not financially feasible to install the turbines.

when you look at the available space in the UK compared to the US< I can understand that.
In m y family over 'ome we havent had an actual interment in over 40 years, everyone has been cremated. The deaths we have had here too have been cremated.
