Wow, it's like they're preparing for defeat. Targeting only "certain groups."

willbeurdaddy -> RE: Obama's new "strategy?" (11/29/2011 1:43:11 PM)

I dont see it as particularly new. He has always focused his campaigning on the elitists and the free-riders. This op-ed leaves out unions as part of the target constituency, and I dont think he is close to abandoning them.

Wow, its like some real silly asswipe, a nobody style talking head, talking second hand hyperbole in third rate terms.

Willbeur, oh sure the TEAMSTERS will be voting for Oblunder especially now that so many of "the brotherhood" is laid-off. lol
The Teacher's Union maybe.And the SIEU and that's about it.
I can't see the Firefighter's or Police unions voting for him after all the cuts in the last few years. When they have to close fire stations and lay off Firefighters and Cops that's really not good.

What percentage of the US union membership is Teamsters+SEIU+Teachers+Other government (non-first responders) workers unions?

Nearly 60%.

and dont forget that $ leads to votes, including non-union votes, and the AFL-CIO feeds Obama a ton of money, and it represents something like 80% of the unionized workers. Thats a shitload of union dues funneled to the Dems.

Willbeur, when someone walks into the voting booth it really doesn't matter how much "money" the candidates had.

Nonsense. For the majority of the country their vote is still determined by sound bites, and the more money the candidates had the more soundbites they can get out there.

QED. Which is why the teabaggers are slavishly fawning over corporations.

Wow BIG organization of contributing voters all of whom can be traced back to an individual registered voter.. that's GOT to sound weird to someone from a party where a bunch of guys get together at Yale, pee into a coffin and burn something to decide where THEIR large clumps of money go.

Hahahahaha.... he's saying that because he knows the price of making total bullshit approach the appearance of something with a small amount of fact on board keeps going up. Nobody knows that more than a man that truly understands the GOP.

Thats a sentence Im too tired to parse out after working all night!

Fellow -> RE: Obama's new "strategy?" (11/29/2011 4:56:53 PM)

It is not clear if Obama wants to stay for the second term. If he does, he should not worry too much. The Republicans will the most likely shoot themselves to the head. If it will be Romney, who no different compared to Obama, people will not get excited for support. Newt Gingrich, of course, would be an another "Bob Dole" with absolutely no chance of getting elected.

ArizonaBossMan -> RE: Obama's new "strategy?" (11/29/2011 4:59:07 PM)

Poor Dear Leader. Poor Crazy Uncle Biden. Poor Bawney. Soooo many silly lefties soon to be without jobs! Well, they'll still be ripping people off but outside the government or maybe maybe... maybe insider trading or another solyndra! All that compassion sure does pay off! Let's have another earth day!

Seems pretty clear to me. He's been campaigning for it for 34 months.

It could be just a routine. I am thinking, does he really have a strong desire to hang around (this is pretty much what he does).

Yeah, I think he does, because his narcissism wont let him admit failure. Unless he thinks he could get nominated for President of the World. Then he might back off on POTUS.

I'm sure that what all the folks selling billboards and airtime told Meg Whitman, Wilbur. There is some truth in what you say, but no firm law of the jungle.

Yup, no firm laws, but Meg isnt a great example of an exception. Very tough for any R to get elected here (unless youre a movie star!).

Especially one like Meg whos claim to fame is the lackluster decimation of companies, much like the pizza guys is.

But of course the two finest examples of how little you knowledge of realities you possess would be St. Wrinklemeat, Ahnold, and of course, Tricky Dicky.
