Firm, considering the whole story and you want to nit pick about that, there is bias, did I sayotherwise, I believe I mentioned she is takenas a commie.. she gives the pres the ultimate say so....lets quit quibbling for semantics sake...fine... what else do you have a problem with ???

The problem I have is that using bad information to make decisions leads to decisions that do not address the problem.

If a planning meeting was held with the DHS, the finger points to President Obama directly, not laundered through a Republican House Committee.

I think he made that very clear in his first post.

... Regardless of what else she may have said in the article, this is clearly an attempt to place Congress and King in the loop, and as the direct cause, which is simply not true, false and easily verified.

Which places anything else she has to say open to question.

Not the violence accusations/ charges, against freedom of expression and of the press?
Ok thankyou

Yes, Lieberman is in charge in the Senate... and Independent. Feel better?

So its Janet who is in charge and she doesnt answer to anyone but the President.

Where do the committees fall in relationship to reporting?

Jump to conclusions much, Lucy? [8D]

I seem to recall being the person who started the thread about the unusual occurance of a lot of cities all doing basically the same thing, at the same time:

"Occupy" Arrest All Over ... - 10/26/2011 8:40:38 AM

I started the thread because the timing of all the incidents struck me as unusual.  I'm not sure what to make of that, yet.

But, as I said ... if such a basic and easily verifiable "mistake" was made as to the DHS chain-of-command, it throws everything else she wrote on the subject into question.

If you wish to take action against the individuals and the parts of the system which "allowed" ... violence accusations/ charges, against freedom of expression and of the press ... make sure you have the correct targets identified, before you start shooting.

I made a point that it was strange to me that the primary Democrat which holds the greatest authority for the actions of the DHS wasn't mentioned by name, and the Republican (who isn't even in the chain-of-command) was mentioned twice.

I was just following up with the observation that the "Independent Democrat who caucuses with the Democrats and was the Democratic VP candidate in 2004" has the same general oversight in the Senate that King does in the House, yet the Senate oversight isn't mentioned at all.

And you answered your own question in post 19, but then asked "someone" to "clue you in".

Which I did, in the very next post.

See my above response about Libermann, the "Independent Democrat" (btw, he is listed as "Democrat" on the official Senate page for the committee.  I gave you the link earlier).

So its Janet who is in charge and she doesnt answer to anyone but the President.

She works directly for and takes orders from the President.  The Congress has legislative establishment authority, funding authority and general policy oversight authority.

Still trying to make King the bad guy, huh? [8D]

Whenever the Congressional Committees wants, but generally during budget preparations, and if the Department has an issue that rises to the Congresses' attention and they want to hold hearings.

Kinda like the Department of Justice, and their problems with the "Fast and Furious" program, or the Department of Energy and the Solyndra loan deals.

I didnt ask when, I asked where. Do they have a chain in the system somewhere, or are they like the absent landlords?

You can make that point all you wish. If the chain of command isnt understood, then the point is a wasted one.

Generally in the Committees' conference rooms on the Hill. [8D]

tazzy,

It's US Government 101.  If you missed it in school, now would be a good time to bone up.

I've had enough of your disingenuousness for tonight.  I'm going to bed.

tazzygirl -> RE: The shocking truth about the crackdown on Occupy (11/25/2011 10:50:25 PM)

Didnt think you could answer my questions.

Anyone else have an idea of where in the scheme of things these people fall into line?

And where do the other committees fall, such as the Homeland Security Council?

Im assuming the Council is above the Department.

And what of the Advisor John Brennan? Is his role only an advisory one, and as such, and outsider looking in at DHS?

I can do without the snark of 101 Governments. There are things I could teach many of you that should be just as basic as Firm seems to insist this should be to me.

talk about jumping to conclusions..
Anyway.....I simply asked a question and I did give you the opportunity to add to what you were peeved about in my previous post, you didnt mention it, and Im surely not expected to remember every post you make? especially from a month ago? tsk
Seems to me all parties are present and accounted for, just not named how you would like.
If this goes to the president it goes to the president. If it goes to including MY prime minister I want to know more. I dont care who politically(as in partisan bullshit) is fucking people over, just that they ARE. And that it should be known.

ArizonaBossMan -> RE: The shocking truth about the crackdown on Occupy (11/26/2011 4:38:02 AM)

Nothing shocking about this bunch. Their money comes from Soros and big labor unions. This is a democrat party operation to distract people from o'dingdong's disastrous socialist policies. They just get the creepiest of their creeps to blather on slogans, poop on each other, screw, pee, and try to provoke the police. Big city mayors of course have a problem because they are all democrats (wanna see o'dumbo's vision for America? visit Detroit... one party rule since the 40's) but they all get their orders from the same place. It's pathetic but also hilarious to watch. IF you love OWS, you should be down there protesting whatever it is they protest. When you find out, please post it somewhere, too. It's great there is video and the internet these days. You don't have to look far for evidence of what they are.

Can you site sources to back up what you've said?

OrionTheWolf -> RE: The shocking truth about the crackdown on Occupy (11/26/2011 8:43:50 AM)

~FR~

Thanks for this Lucy. I read the article and followed the links. I am not usually a conspiracy type person, but it makes sense that the "power elite" (politicians, mega corp execs, lobbyist for financial institutions, etc.) would like the OWS movement to go away. If nothing else it shows that the people can come together when they feel the government is not doing the right thing for the people, and in fact doing things to harm them.

I do believe it will require the restraints taken off of law enforcement, and some very ugly things to happen on the government side, to get things to the next level though.

P.S. Thanks for going back to the nice ass pics too.

Lucylastic -> RE: The shocking truth about the crackdown on Occupy (11/26/2011 9:04:10 AM)

You are most welcome Orion:)
This is definitely something worth keeping an eye on.
