U.S. Rep. Joe Walsh (R-Ill.) slammed Occupy Wall Street protesters during a town hall meeting in suburban Gurnee, Ill. Saturday, calling the movement a "well-orchestrated, well-funded, far left effort to disrupt the American people" before admitting that he had never attended a protest.

Walsh, a Tea Party favorite who apologized last week after screaming at a constituent during a similar event, was reacting to constituent criticism of the Occupy movement when he let them know how he felt about it.

"[Occupy is] an anti-American, well-funded left wing effort," Walsh told the crowd, to a mix of applause and boos. He also said the movement was created to "rile up Obama's left base."

From what he could tell, Walsh said, Occupy protesters are "generally spoiled, pampered, unfocused, clueless young people and a smattering of other people who don’t understand this country and are advocating anti-American solutions."

When one constituent stood up and pointed out that veterans have participated in the Occupy movement, Walsh brushed it off.

"I don't know how many veterans are part of the Occupy protest," he said. "I can't imagine it's many. But anyone who would advocate socialist solutions to certain problems in this country ... they don't understand this country."

Though much of the crowd seemed to support Walsh's stance, a few others stood up. An older woman told Walsh that Occupy protesters were not all "young socialists," but real people who "want jobs."

He really is another git that keeps on giving.

I really enjoy this Republican concept of class warfare on the wealthy.

It's ridiculously amusing.

The gap between the wealthy and the rest of the country has been growing for 30 years.

Yet they now want to try and reverse the facts.

Too bad that many of those who were in the "rest of the country" 30 years ago are among the wealthy today. Totally shoots your argument to hell. Everyone has the opportunity, just because you squandered it is no reason to blame those who worked their asses off to make it happen.

This of course is from a guy who hasn't yet gotten his head around BEING A MAN and PROVIDING FOR HIS FAMILY. let him venture into the waters of PERSONAL FUCKING RESPONSIBILITY HIMSELF before he goes sniping at Vets who have at least served their country if received injury doing so. There are about 20 of them at Occupy Boston, and while a couple are in the shape that might indicate they were homeless before they got there.
There's opne kind from Cape Cod named John down there who had two tours and his girlfriend whom was pregnant and engaged to him when he left for the first tour. When the girlfriend got wind he was being ordered back, she broke up with him. When John came home, all he's been able to find is a 20 hr a week job as a janitor. He lives in Occupy Boston to spare the rent and give $150 a week to his ex-girlfriend for the baby.
Meanwhile fucking Joe Walsh has a problem with men like him?
Yeah, right. I hope Vets For Peace, carves Walsh a new asshole.

When you had your opportunity... did you swallow?

That's the guy.
A REAL MAN
AND A REAL AMERICAN.
... well, after the last decent man dies off he'll qualify.

Yup... this guy...

Walsh also rejected the congressional health insurance plan for his family on principle, much to the chagrin of his current wife, Helene, who had a preexisting condition and needed surgery while the couple was uninsured

Such a winner... and yet given an award for being a "true blue" member of Congress, based upon his family values.
