It would seem though, that no matter how you word it, whether it be insecurity, starting with the power in the wrong hands, or that people need to have the "guts" to reach out, it all comes down to something that everyone has at some point or another; fear of rejection.

That doesn't mean that your feelings are silly or anything of the sort, LBP, simply that your comfort level doesn't reach to the point of you often making that first move. The fact that you can admit it is an insecurity of yours, puts you ahead of the game. The rest often just seems like false bravado.
