The Obama administration�s push to limit the starchy vegetables and tomato paste served to millions of children at school each day was derailed by lawmakers this week, in effect enabling school cafeterias to continue offering pizza and french fries. When will Obama learn that Cost and Money come before our children's health. Every parent in America understands that Money is more important than their child's health. I dont want children eating healthier or having better lives when its going to COST me more money. Why should they be all healthier? You know whats that going to do? Cost the insurance industry JOBS and PROFIT. This is just further proof that Obama is an Anti-American and Anti-Capitalist since he is willing to put Children's Health above Money, Profits, and JOBS.

well ketchup is a veggie according to some mental giants, so it would follow that tomato paste is too

I guess the ag industry has a better lobby than school kids do. No surprise there, and I am sure Monsanto and the rest of the industry are thrilled with their big success in defeating this proposal. . No surprise either is the high rate of obesity in children. I read the other day that it is now recommended that kids have their cholesterol tested as young as age 11.

fair point, but after visiting the US a couple of years ago I still have nightmares about the size of everyone, it's no wonder they all need huge fucking cars/SUVs. Unbelievable
