your welcome. now if that worked that means that your fucking cam isn't encoding the vids properly. if you can update the cam software that should fix it. if thats not an option. then i would look into getting a better vid file converter, ash is right windows movie maker is a little cludgy, i only used it because i knew it was on your machine and that it would write wmv, so it was really meant more as a troubleshooting tool, but if you're happy with the results, fuck it - good enough is good enough.
nch makes a good one but its a pay app <their whole audio/video suite is good - thanks for the head's up there pigster>, there are some free ones out there. if i recall, the any-video-converter is ok, i know i tried using it once. freemake comes quite well recommended and sounds fucking awesome, but i haven't actually tried it yet.
if you want more input on the free audio/video software, heather or arpig are better people to ask, i just use whatever the fuck heather has installed, and she and him are always trying new programs. fucking hobbyists!!
