                                       Memo from headquarters!

Our company does not tolerate harassment. Sexual or any other. For that reason we have given you tiny cubicles to work in so that no one is being ogled. There will be no greetings spoken. No comments on dress, clothing hair or anything attached to any person whatsoever. No hugs or touching of any kind( section 5 sub paragraph b, f and r). If for example your fellow worker trips and falls you are to immediately remove yourself from their vicinity so that no part of you touches any part of them. Any violation of this will result in immediate termination.

There will be no laughing ,gossiping, smiling, or gesturing of any kind. These may be misinterpreted as harassment and result in you immediate firing (See paragraph 97 sub paragraph 6b,8d, 9k and 98L through 291b). You are not to have any extraneous conversations or any conversations whatsoever that have nothing to do with conducting company business. For an exhaustive reference on what is not allowed see 3056 page pamphlet on harassment.

We are a zero tolerance company when it comes to harassment. Any departure from these rules will open the company up to liability which will result in your termination. If you have any further questions please clean out your cubicle and see your supervisor for guidance on this matter.

We realize that these rules can make some unhappy with our work environment. But remember this, harassment is grounds to sue. Unhappiness is not. This memo will be considered your first warning. There will be no others. Our company does not tolerate harassment.

It isn't just men who get accused of
sexual harassment. Recently, Larry Flynt's
daughter who has some sort of high
ranking job in his organization was sued
by a male underling.
My mother was sexually harassed and lost
her job when she declined her bosses
advances. Sexual harassment suits weren't
common then. She was a single parent
in a one horse town with few employment
opportunities. A friends sister was also
badgered at her workplace. The situation
was complicated by her boss being her
best friends father.
Lawsuits are always going to attract
opportunists. But that doesn't mean
there aren't legitimate cases.
Awareness of sexual harassment has
no doubt caused headaches in the
workplace. There are spiteful, unethical
in the world. But as with increased
awareness about rape and domestic
violence I have no nostalgia for the
good old dark days when women
suffered in silence and shame.

Assuming you arent sued for illegally recording a private conversation you could win the lawsuit lottery that way

Ive never been accused of sexual harrassment ...
but
,,, Ive been sexually harrased.

Never again will I work around guys without my smartphone on me .. so if it ever happens again, I can record the conversation.
Either the company can decide what action they will take .. or my lawyer can. ----> It's really that easy.

The sign I gave a boss one year to hang in his home office...

"We dont report sexual harassment, but we do critique it."

Had my 70 yo boss at a bar once sit me down, try to feed me wine... and then he said out of no where...
"I want to fuck your brains out."

To this I respectfully and wanting to not lose my job by laughing hysterically replied-
"employees and bosses... bad"

He than proceeded to inform me it was ok, he had already done three of the girls I worked with.

One of them on the bar I always ate on after work. ><

Did I sue him? No, he in no way harmed me. It was a bit gross, but as his hands did not touch me, and I got in no trouble from saying no, I felt it was no harm done and went home and laughed about it with friends.

I think while in proven cases of the "harassment" part there should be some redress- as in the injured party got fired, or was harassed on a regular basis, or was touched unconsentingly. But no where near as much money is being settled out of court, and not for one stupid joke, or harmless flirt.

Can you still be fired for sexual harassment if you work from the house and watch porn while on break?

Hey, I sense a business opportunity!
If I were in the job world I'd do them first!
"Hey Boss, that secretary over there grabbed me by the crotch!" "I feel cheap and used and whatever all those other things they say."
So you get a lawyer and he talks to their lawyer.
Then you go into your boss' office and say; "Hey! I want councillingl, I'm fuckin' suffering here with low self esteem!"
"And a bunch of other shit too!"
So you and your lawyer get a nice payday, cos. start to go back to "one sex shops" and the Cadillac dealer knows you on a first name basis!
"Ah, Popeye, nice to see you again, did you snag another lawsuit for sex discrimination you scallywag you!"

Can anyone translate this for me?

LizDeluxe -> RE: Sexual harassment (11/4/2011 2:25:37 PM)

I've never been accused of sexual harassment but about 3 years ago my married, male boss at that time offered to give me the promotion I was up for and that he knew I very much wanted if I would sleep with him. So, yes I have been on the other end of sexual harassment.

Only if you watch it while peeking through your fingers.

A justified firing if I ever heard of one.

When I worked for Lowes I told a Dept Manager to get on his knees and suck my dick when he asked me to reschedule a vacation I planned months in advance so he could take his girl to a concert... I was fired for sexual harassment because the district HR cunt happened to be walking by and overheard me.

Depends.  Is the watching of porn creating a hostile work environment for you?

If it is, I'd file a complaint against yourself with your employer.  [8D]

We see you`re on the side of protecting the vulnerable and powerless.

Got any more tips on how pigs might get away with sexual blackmail and damaging woman`s careers, lives and self esteem?

General reply:

There`s nothing illegal about recording a conversation in person, with someone or more than one person.

If the other party or you,do something illegal and you get caught....well then fuck you and have fun at the police station.

Don`t want to get in trouble? Don`t do illegal things.

There`s nothing illegal with recording your traffic stop, as the cops do.

Taping a phone call without notice might be illegal in some states.

You`re allowed to tape your life and what happens......you can have a frick`n film crew follow you if you want.....for now at least, untill "freedom lovers" like the un-sanitary there, make that illegal too.

One of the most powerful tools the OWSers are employing, are camera-phones.They`ve been devastatingly affective.

Duh,you think ?.....lol
Than come here and tell the story as if you are the hero of the little drama. [8|]
Is it us...or this real easy to see [:D]

tazzygirl -> RE: Sexual harassment (11/4/2011 7:00:37 PM)

Its not illegal as long as you are part of the taping. As soon as you hide the recorder.... then you are crossing the line.
