I can't rub one out without a fantasy- the crazier the better. If it is something I would actually do in reality, it isn't extreme enough to get off to. It scares me, because they have to get progressively darker as I get older and different taboos get boring and I need to find new ideas.

I wonder if I don't fantasize because I have done much of the dark extreme stuff I used to think about before I found other twisted partners?
Kidnap.. I used to think about that until it almost happened for real one day. After that I started considing how to get myself out of another situation like that should it happen again. Rough, seemingly non consensual sex?... pretty much standard fair in my love life, so no need for steering my brain in that direction. Pain.. :) Oh.. I generally masturbate to erotica from nifty.org that is far less consensual and far more brutal than I would entertain IRL.

Sometime I get erotica for my Kindle - I have the big Kindle which only turn pages on the right side, and I am used to using my eroscillator in my right hand, which leads to some comical fumbling.

I am going to have to check that out. It has been decades since I read any porn. As far as brutality goes I think I extended it out as far as I ever should have and I did that IRL. For me romance and love are far scarier, even in fantasy. Maybe I should check out some bodice rippers.

I have never masturbated. I would be afraid of going blind and getting hairy knuckles. I do, however, have a very close friend who tells me that even when he is having his fantasies met on a regular basis he still masturbates.

Seriously, I can not imagine just rubbing one out without their being some kind of fantasy and visual imagery in my mind, and being kinky that imagery often involves kinky fantasies. I wonder if there is a gender component to this as most of the people who say they rub one out without a fantasy of some sort on their mind seem to be women I think (I have not specifically checked the profiles to make certain) - and interestingly, this thread is one of the first times I recall having heard women describe it as rubbing one out.

I guess similar to you, OP. When I masturbate it is usually to remembrances, while I have much darker things that I hope to experience, I masturbate to actual things in my memory bank.

Masturbating for me is like trying to tickle myself....it just doesn't work. I've tried pretty much everything...nothing, nada...can't say I ever get frustrated either though because I rarely even think about it.

I have to agree with that. Nothing compares to that thing, it is relatively quiet (especially if you let the batteries wear down), it is powerful, and it fits.
I found mine in the original brand name on Ebay for about 30 bucks.

I've used vibes including that one on myself and they don't do anything when I use them but when he uses them on me they help me to climax. I think it's simply that for me orgasms are tied to the intimacy I have with a man.

I have always been sexual. My first orgasm was years before my first intimate partner. I could not imagine it any other way. Intimacy for me is not necessarily sexual, it is sharing, caring, and feeling a genuine desire to see that someone is happy. I think of feelings when I think of intimacy. I think of sex.. well.. pretty much all the time.

I am not Hpb up there but for me, taking it without thought is not really without thought.
It is feeling the quivery buildup, the rise in body heat, the blood coursing through my veins, and swelling body parts that were not effected before playing. It is listening to the quickening beat that rings through my ears, tasting the tangy saltiness of my flesh, or the rapidly cooling skin which is covered with sweat. It is feeling the rise of pressure as I come closer to climax, or the tightness of my nipples which feel like they are pulsing with arousal.
