“When we asked Obama to do something about illegal immigration, we didn’t mean make the United States so shitty they didn’t want to be here anymore” South Park Episode 1509 "The Last of the Meheecans" Air Date 10/132011

Why are Republicans so full of hate ?

TheHeretic -> RE: South Park Does it Again (10/12/2011 8:35:15 PM)

Great episode! The lame factor has been way up in recent years, but tonight's was fun.

Not all. But many of their media and leaders, and a good part of their people seem to be, right now. The reasons?
- A black president in the White House. That is the "big elephant in the room" which is there and nobody dares to speak about. None of them, at least.
- The lack of political space. Obama is acting like a right-wing republican. Some of his proposals on taxes in the last months were at the right side of the average republican. The only way to differentiate, for them, is to move more rightwards.

I think that these are the reasons. And because of this, they will loose the presidential elections, and we will have another 2 years of a weak President in the White House.

Yes, "we", what the USA does affects the whole world, like with China or the European Union.

It is the truth. But you Cain't see it...
The republicans as a whole are still not ready for that. They will, eventually, maybe even soon, in only 15-20 years more. The signs are there and Rice continuously, and also I Cain see them. A black republican president will eventually size the Powell. But they are still not ready, not quite, and this is a factor.

Someone needs to point out to SMM that a Presidential term is 4 years...not 2(I guess I just did that eh ?) a small detail to be sure....but a detail all the same.

Not necessary. But I mentioned the period up to the next Congress elections, as they could possibly end the weakness of Obama.
You have that... system in the USA. It should help to prevent anybody to get too powerful. But it also can paralise the system. Pros and cons.

This may happen, but I said 2 to be sure. It can be 4, or 6, or 20.

Some extremely funny moments there, but too long. There was more broad, social satire in this one episode than I've seen them take on in a while. Of course, a seduction of the gardener scene would have taken it completely over the top. [;)]

Nothing can end the weakness of Obama short of a brain transplant.

Nope. No hate at all. Of course they can set their completely rational attitudes aside, to discuss a funny bit of satire, on a topic we haven't done to death lately.

Which drives me to the initial sentence I quoted and commented.

The USA are in decadence, unfortunately. This is nor Obamas nor even GWB's guilt, it started the moment Ike left the office, IMHO. And exactly for the reasons Ike self explained.
