This is why many Christians regard Mormonism as a Cult. Let's not pretend like some words don't have many definitions just so we can confuse the point.

Clearly there are a helluva lot of Christians in this world. And clearly Mormons don't believe the same things as the rest of them. For example, the real big difference is that Christians believe Christ is their God. Whereas Mormon's think the idea of the trinity is absurd and that Christ is just another god, but not God the Father.

This is the fundamental difference in thinking and why they are unorthodox.

It doesn't make Mormon's bad people, but as far as Christianity is concerned, and because Mormon's call themselves Christian, it makes them unorthodox Christians, IE: A Cult.

Why is it any surprise that a Christian preacher would understand this and, when asked, answer in this way?
