Ya'll want to have a ball over the "revolution" starting on Wall Street, and stay in denial about where the great socialist revolutions of the past have wound up?

Yeah, you probably think it should work that way.

Too bad.

What particularly is the connection between a revolution on wall street and a socialist revolution, Reichskanzler?

Dumb leftists, Ron. Lots of dumb leftists.

mnottertail -> RE: The American Inqustion (10/7/2011 6:55:00 AM)

Dumb in what way?

TheHeretic -> RE: The American Inqustion (10/7/2011 7:06:55 AM)

Pity our schedules don't line up well, Ron. For the quick answer, let's go with the belief that more power to the government is the solution.

mnottertail -> RE: The American Inqustion (10/7/2011 7:12:34 AM)

Well hells bells man, it cant be as fucking dumb as corporate appeasment of corporate overlords.
Your famous military-industrial complex.

Look at the number of socio-democratic governments who are sailing along quite well.

Nobody is going to accuse the 'republicans' of a vigorous social agenda these days, but social agendas are not equivalent to socialism. The US Constitution being a 'socialist' document these days with your folks, being a document of We, the people.....

Now its been perverted to equate a man and a corporation. I would say the rightists are pretty fuckin dumb, and have been at that stupidity for a long long time.

And here you guys were saying, let them fail, we shouldn't bail them out, now that someone wants their money back, you were for it before you were against it.

There should be some coordination of policy or it may seem that the Grand Old Party is floundering.

StrangerThan -> RE: The American Inqustion (10/7/2011 7:40:23 AM)

Actually Ron, what I think the rightists do is pretty much what the leftists do, that being, be against whatever the other is for.

I don't see either side as wallowing in stupidity as much as wallowing in dislike of the other.

Sanity -> RE: The American Inqustion (10/7/2011 7:54:20 AM)

The leftists shepharding thse protests arent preaching socio-democracy, youre only fooling yourself if you really think that. Ignoring whats right in fron of your nose.

Either that or you are unwilling to speak to the reality of it. If I had to guess I would say you are confused about the situation, and cannot understand what is happening

You are unable to speak to the reality, you have no credible fact, only rushfelching, and your ignoring skills are without peer.

Show me credible citations, facts, realities, not some joe the plumber one off anecdotes or a sentence taken out of context from some idiotic oped.

I would say that the corporate appeasment policies and the military-industrial complex pushed by the right has finally run its course.

They can hysterically scream socialism, but cannot cogently relate to the same people they accuse of confusion what it is or how it would come about in more than jingoes.

Still, shallow rhetoric, as they preside over the largest debt in our nations history, with no end in sight.

Even if, as Stranger said, these guys dont make the campout in the winter, the elections are coming and it doesnt look like a slaughter for republican ideology but rather, a slaughter of it.

People are living in some kind of Matrix having twisted understanding how the US is governed today. The country you imagine living in does not exist. People have no power, they can express thoughts in limited manner and this is pretty much all. Information what is really going on is not shared with you. Only number of domestic spies has been put around 800,000. Add here foreign services and you get the picture. Your tax dollars at work. Killing of Anwar al-Awlaki, a US Citizen is a good example. Why exactly was he killed? Anybody knows? Obviously, he was not in charge of any anti-US actions. Government said it is a secret and the reason for secrecy is also secret. This is as much as you get. I have a theory the killing was connected to 9/11. The man knew probably something how it was done. Maybe he was used in some capacity by CIA to recruit and get the Arabs on the planes. There were leaks he was meeting with Pentagon staff around 9/11 attack. Blatantly, arrogantly bogus government explanations what happened during 9/11 attacks have recently been used as a political weapon by president of Iran for example. We know Russians killed their citizens who had inside knowledge about 1999 false flag attacks (blowing up three apartment buildings in Moscow). Drone attacks are impressive. Still, not as twisted as radioactive Polonium poisoning in London tea shop.
