Even if Geraldo Rivera was at the Zuccotti Park yesterday, Fox News has generally been a tad dismissive of the Occupy Wall Street movement. Foxnews.com (as of this writing) has no coverage of this national event on their front page stories. (Hard to imagine for a network that was so gung-ho about the Tea Party!) Red Eye‘s Bill Schulz went out to try to “prank” the protesters. Bill O’Reilly sent a producer minion out with the same mission: to belittle OWS’s cause by cutting up interviews to make people sound stupid.

Well, here is an interview that Fox News filmed, but doesn’t want you to see. The segment was shot on Wednesday for Greta van Susteren‘s show, (though it looks like the same producer from this O’Reilly segment questioning Michael Moore‘s anti-capitalist agenda) though the decision was made to leave it on the cutting room floor. The reason should be obvious pretty quickly.

more eloquent, than Joe the plumber could ever be!!!
GOOOOOO JESSE

Ah, I was thinking it was a Fox camera man, and that logically as why interview a protester without a camera, we are in the age of sound and vision, tv reporters usually only report when they have a camera on them.

I'm sure the Fox footage disappeared.

Aneirin -> RE: I wonder why Fox wouldnt run this clip (10/3/2011 7:43:39 PM)

Maybe the footage was not broadcast quality.

I do understand not everything a reporter interviews people about makes it to broadcast for many reasons, crappy camera work is one of them, unless in conditions that would warrant it, and then even so, not all recordings are used.

Or... and this may be a novel though but just maybe.... it wasn't good enough???

SternSkipper -> RE: I wonder why Fox wouldnt run this clip (10/3/2011 8:07:00 PM)

I agree... there isn't one good shred of pro right wing propaganda in the whole thing... In fact they come of culpable/ If I ran a network based on utter bullshit, I wouldn't air it either. Fox was right not to air it.

FatDomDaddy -> RE: I wonder why Fox wouldnt run this clip (10/3/2011 11:34:09 PM)

the interviewer was a fumbling mess and "Comradre" Ray there in his Kepi was a self serving bore.... nothing in it rises to network standards... if it did, the Big Three and the Cable Two would be running it.... it's pap

Love the use of "Network Standards " when talking about Fox.

Simple, why would Fox news run this? It some liberal BS that goes against all the Fox News sponsored Tea Party Protest . Where true Americas complained about Obama's Birth Certificate, Stealing from medicare to fund socialized medicine, and how Dictator Obama will implement white slavery.
