Saudi is a very conservative country, with a capital C. Even if the King wants to initiate change, he will have one eye on the fundementalist Mullahs and be wary of upsetting them.

I could never understand why Bush and Blair failed to point out that the majority of those involved in carrying out 9/11 were Saudi.

Couldn't do that nooo, as that would invalidate the expeditionary wars in other countries, besides Western leaders will never upset the Saudi's because or the black evil. As to be perfectly honest, whenever it is you hear of our politicians condemning SA, they do it with a very quiet voice.

The bottom line SA has the world by the balls.
