I am anti-abortion as a form of birth control and therefore would try to talk any woman out of having one. However, the procedure should be legal, safe and available for any who wants or needs one for whatever reason. Too many women have died in the pursuit of illegal abortions for it not to be this way.

I think you echo what most rational pro-choice Americans believe. In all the years I have discussed this with people I have never met any woman who had one simply because she didn't wish to have a baby. And I never met a woman who didn't give it a lot of thought before hand.

the state should be banned from interfering from private decisions.

I think the teenage accidents should be pointed to the people willing to pay for a baby, maybe let their greed see it through. But when all else fails should be personal choice.

And that's the way the laws of the land are SUPPOSED to work. Structured around the norm and not the exception.
I certainly don't doubt they're out there. If you can have a rooting section in a national presidential debate who cheer death, having some women who prefer surgical procedures to condoms is quite plausible. But like the debate, just not enough to mire the whole country down in it.
