popeye1250 -> Eric Holder next to go? (9/5/2011 10:06:29 PM)

Man, I was watching some of the news on that Mexican gun-running thing and everything keeps coming back to Holder!
Now, instead of making a denial  or trying to help with the investigation he's resorted to the tried and true, ..."I don't recall" strategy.
This wasn't very long ago and he,....."can't recall?"
And one of the congressional committee congressman said; "this isn't about the Atty. General's office or the Justice Department's being a part of this investigation they are the *subject* of this investigation!"
This had to come from the top. It wasn't orchestrated and run by low level ATF Agents obviously.
You always wait until after you've been charged to use the "I can't recall" defense. It's almost like "taking the Fifth!"
What do you think, will Holder go next?
He's been involved in controversy since he took office.

The one thing that gets under my skin about Eric Holder is the Black Panther issue, how he wont go after the Panthers because of P.C. He made his bed now he can just face the music when jugdment deals a fair hand.

willbeurdaddy -> RE: Eric Holder next to go? (9/5/2011 10:13:10 PM)

He will quietly exit at the end of Obamas term, even if he gets a second one.

I tend to agree with willbe on this one. He should go if for nothing more than the stink of too many unanswered questions surrounding him... but he wont before the end of this term.

As quite a few of 'the president's men' do. Historically, in those months between the election and the official beginning of the second term, most presidents lose anywhere between 1/4 and 3/4 of their appointees.

I attribute that to racism, both on his part and the presidents.

The A G isn't really Eric Holder. His real name is Stedman Graham and he is dating Oprah Winfrey..

Actually the racism is from FNC and everyone else who kept a nonissue alive almost 3 years after it happened. The Bush administration couldn't find a criminal charge to bring against the two men.

Sanity -> RE: Eric Holder next to go? (9/6/2011 6:08:08 AM)

Im sure it would have been a "nonissue" to you had the situation been reversed... had it been a white Atty General winking and smiling as KKK goons threatened black voters...

And lollipops grow on trees [:D]

Can you show any evidence that any voters at that polling place felt threatened? Have you noticed that in all the hyperventilating FNC has done on the matter the past 3 years never once did they present a voter who felt threatened.

Sanity -> RE: Eric Holder next to go? (9/6/2011 5:07:10 PM)

Would you demand proof that anyone "felt intimidated" had they been KKK goons ken

Youre such a raving hypocrite, which that seems to be absolutely normal for so many leftists

EternalHoH -> RE: Eric Holder next to go? (9/6/2011 5:16:57 PM)

There are far more prominent people standing in front of Holder in the "Obama's needs to hand out pink slips" line.

Larry Summers and the economic team are at the head of the line.

Uhhhh Summers is already gone. Plus the stimulus damage he contributed to is minor compared to his oppostion to derivatives regulation during the Clinton Administration.

Are you now suddenly some expert on Holder and when he will resign?

to the thread in general

What sort of time frame are you talking on that bet, Wilbur? End of the month? End of the long, hot summer? Right after the election, maybe, as a token sacrifice?

I'm not even sure if Holder will go at all, but with his mouth, I'm not putting money on that. He is a symptom of the administration's disconnect from public reality. I see a puppet.

The Panther intimidation case is a fair point for public discussion. I just hope other radicals (of any stripe) are not emboldened by this. That sort of behavior wouldn't go over well here.

As for this witness, who can truly be sure? Levi Johnston has recently recanted all his slanders of the Palin family, and all those lies about Sarah just seemed so true, didn't they?

Time frame...later of 6 months or 2 months after the close of any official inquiry into the allegations.

I didnt pay any attention to Levi Johnston so I have no idea if he lied then, is lying now, or how true his lies seemed.

What a dumb piece of fat crap.

You claimed the two guys intimidated voters. I simply pointed out that you had no basis for making that claim. Rather than continuing your nonsensical whining you might try analyzing your own prejudices that contributed to your being duped by FNC.

Probably right.  Holder's not making much PR, and what he does make is not good.  The only good thing to come out of DoJ is the blocking of the AT&T merger.  Against that, weigh the continuation of Bush DoJ policies, and the chipping away of Obama's decree to be hands-off about prosecuting mmj charges in states where mmj is legal.

Obama has no need to make Holder's mediocrity visible by letting him go midterm.
