"you're starting to see the fucking light, the problem is that you can't do that, you can't keep it limited, it will always fucking grow and expand. it is the nature of the beast. so you need to kill the fucker, it is the only option compatible with being free. "

You are indeed young. You think the strength and agility of youth can overcome the wisdom and guile of experience.

T^T

what the fuck are you babbling about now?

Considering that the media did a better job of vetting Joe the Plumber than they did Barack Obama, perhaps you should just shut up now, Fargle.

Wow.

You're STILL bitching about where Obama was born? Even after all the evidence?

Maybe you should discuss your concerns with a professional qualified to provide counsel and perhaps some treatment? I hear that if people ignore the voices in their heads, and actually take their meds, that they can be quite effective...

what you are arguing about is how much freedom do you think is appropriate to surrender in order to insure yourself a comfortable and safe life. trading freedom for safety is a fucking trap, what was it franklin said? "he who gives up freedom for safety deserves neither". this is because as soon as you do that, and you are safe, a new threat will appear and voifuckingla! there goes yet a little more freedom - witness 9/11 and the fucking patriot act.

i'm not saying the government was behind 9/11, but it's first reaction to the attack was to demand more fucking power and chip away at your freedom. that is what governments do.

So you will pass on gov't altogether?

Lucylastic -> RE: Ask a Republican tough question, get spied on and put on a watch list... (8/31/2011 6:13:38 AM)

Never fails to make me laugh, people saying that the media failed vetting obama, What, Fox,Drudge, Newsmax, Limbaugh, Malkin, Breitbart, O keefe, Rove, Cheney and Oily Taint have not been able to find anything?. Not even Julian Assange is capable?
What a bunch of incapable incompetent, and impotent twits.
why is it the liberal medias fault
SNORTS
pathetic two years ago and even more pathetic now

TheHeretic -> RE: Ask a Republican tough question, get spied on and put on a watch list... (8/31/2011 6:58:25 AM)

Lucy, I'd expect nothing more from Fargle than what we got above, but the media was in love with Obama, and perfectly happy not to go exploring and exploiting his "accomplishments" as a community organizer, or his voting record in the Illinois Legislature, or a resume so thin on leadership that he couldn't even claim to have been captain of his high-school basketball team, much less what role affirmative action programs and race-based preferences might have played in getting the stuff on his resume that was there.  Imagine the field day they would have with a Republican who got a contract to write a book on race relations, and turned in an autobiography instead.

Edwynn -> RE: Ask a Republican tough question, get spied on and put on a watch list... (8/31/2011 7:11:25 AM)

Ah, the "leadership" issue again.

Yes, being a 'community organizer,' certainly a weak spot in the leadership part of the resume.

Now, for a demonstration of true leadership abilities before attaining any high office, this should be considered as one shining example:

The black and white twenty mule team stuff was even better.

Lucylastic -> RE: Ask a Republican tough question, get spied on and put on a watch list... (8/31/2011 7:16:45 AM)

sorry Rich I dont buy it, there are enough people that hate him, that would give their eye teeth for anything outside of the "secret moooozlem" and "born in kenya" bullshit and if they havent been able to find anything, please dont tell me they arent motivated enough by hate, or money or chance to impeach him, or outright see him dead in the water, deny it all you like but thats incompetence by any stretch of the imagination.
right wing media and shit stirrers fell down harder than anyone

Sanity -> RE: Ask a Republican tough question, get spied on and put on a watch list... (8/31/2011 7:56:10 AM)

From captain of his swim team to his many years serving as governor of California, a person would have to be awfully ignorant of Ronald Reagans long list of accomplishments try to compare him with Barack Obama like that

Nothing new about that... that's what 90% (and I'm probably being generous) of politics is: "Our side can do no wrong, your side can do no right." It is simple tribablism that uses hyperbole to characterize the opposition and justification to excuse the "home team." Once again I shake my head at the inability of the left and the right to recognize that they are mirror images of each other.

I agree with you about it being the nature of power to grow but you lose me with "kill the fucker." Unless we want total chaos like some post apocalyptic movie (a fun fantasy but the reality doesn't pan out), then government is a neccessary evil. Government does have some legitimate functions like paving the roads and... well... I'll get back to you if I think of anything else. Rather than kill the government I think we just need to give it periodic bitch slaps now and then.

Yeah. Obama never provided weapons to Iranian Terrorists, like Reagan did... Say what you want about North getting off on a technicality, the established fact is that the Reagan administration collaborated with the terrorists we were ostensibly at war with at the time.

Nice role-model there...

Sorry, I have that horrible habit of just entering comments without regard to whom the stupid computer will attribute them. It wasn't directed towards yourself, but rather, "Aw, man... Someone mentioned Fucking Reagan again..." directed at the aether... or the-local-system-user-who-refers-to-himself-as-"Sanity"... or both...

Sanity -> RE: Ask a Republican tough question, get spied on and put on a watch list... (8/31/2011 8:26:53 AM)

I am guessing thats farglebargles way of trying to argue that Reagan was never Governor of California...

That's funny, I make a post saying that both sides do it and you reply with your bit of partisan drivel. Well done!!

I swear, Southron politics is such a circus!![:D][:D]

I agree with you that both sides do it, and this is the primary reason why I'm fed up with both political factions. It makes it even more frustrating that both factions seem to be teeming with blind followers and bleating sheep who routinely let the media decide what they're going to be outraged about. I can understand how it happens, though, since I've been there myself.

I became politically aware during the Nixon Administration, and at that time, most everyone hated Nixon and the Republicans so much that becoming a Democrat just seemed like the natural thing for me. My grandfather's influence was pretty strong, too, as he always used to say that "The Republicans are for the rich, while the Democrats are for the working man." It was difficult for me to fathom how any non-billionaires could even think of supporting the GOP.

I think the real turning point for me came during the fallout over the North American Free Trade Agreement. I hated Clinton for supporting NAFTA and ramrodding that thing down the throats of his fellow Democrats (while the Republicans were fully unified in support of NAFTA).

At this point, America is now experiencing the consequences of 30-40 years of bad management, but few people in the political establishment actually want to admit that because it would mean acknowledging their own culpability. That's why neither side is all that willing to handle the real tough questions, since it would entail an admission that they've driven America's economy into the ground these past decades.

farglebargle -> RE: Ask a Republican tough question, get spied on and put on a watch list... (8/31/2011 10:48:32 AM)

Yeah, Reagan makes me apoplectic. Seeing someone dumb enough to praise a known terrorist collaborator.... It's like you go "Hooray for Benedict Arnold!"....

If that's how you love America, please stop.

Throwing a bunch of hollow and unrelated ad hominems at it just makes you look crazy
