Real0ne -> Is it time to crack down on special interest groups? (8/23/2011 4:50:13 PM)

Meet the largest special interest group in america!

They have subverted and taken over america!

Is it any wonder they come out in droves to promote any agenda that is good for their profits and sux for us, defending against any investigation that may harm that house of cards?

Look for yourselves.

its proven by certain posters even on this board LOL

lovmuffin -> RE: Is it time to crack down on special interest groups? (8/23/2011 5:28:13 PM)

Good one but are you certain of those statistics ?  Over 21 million, 16% of the electorate works for the government ?

Lucylastic -> RE: Is it time to crack down on special interest groups? (8/23/2011 5:30:23 PM)

given that 10 % of the population is 30 million..there would seem to be a discrepancy somewhere
But hey I didnt read the OP

FR

It already is too late. The figures are fucked up, but really by the 1980s a third of the jobs in this country depended on the government. If you work for Lockheed, Morton Thiakol or anyone else who manufactures components for war machines, will you vote against government spending ? And this guy is off base a bit, but think of all the managers, case workers, examiners, dispatchers, everything. The fact is if the government shut down, half of the people would lose their jobs.

But remember that only includes the people WITH jobs. They give you unemployment figures all the time which are misleading anyway, how about EMPLOYMENT figures. Only about half of the people in this country actually have any kind of real job. No shit.

And how many of those jobs do NOT produce for the government, or produce nothing ? How many of those jobs actually produce something of value that can be sold on the real market ?

Your GDP figures include all kinds of money made by banksters speculating on your precious gasoline, making money for nothing but the ability to borrow money to speculate which enables them to take it from us. This produces nothing, but it seems to make money so it is counted as making money, though it is not.

This guy in the video talks a good talk, but if he told you the whole truth you would change the channel. And you wonder why I am fucking nuts. I know. This fucker hasn't even scratched the surface.

T^T

Yep, I looked again and that's what the guy said, 21,300,000 is 16% of the electorate.

Lucylastic -> RE: Is it time to crack down on special interest groups? (8/23/2011 6:36:38 PM)

well theres your first hint

Real0ne -> RE: Is it time to crack down on special interest groups? (8/23/2011 7:33:12 PM)

Just for shits and giggles lets say its only 1/2!

if you add to that the people dependent on welfare and other aid, and now ohaha care do you see where this is going?   Its already over 50% when you add them all up.

This country is done unless people take to the streets.

Did you take note of the wages they make and the increases?  Like unreal!

The largest special interest group is the 50% who pay no income taxes

tazzygirl -> RE: Is it time to crack down on special interest groups? (8/23/2011 8:42:40 PM)

Isnt it the conservatives position that the 700 Billion that would be raised by increasing taxes on the upper incomes is just a drop in the bucke?

No, its not. Its worse than a drop in the bucket because it wouldnt actually be raised. And eliminating the Bush tax breaks on the rest of the taxpayers is worth 4x that. So if you want to raise income by raising taxes, you accomplish far more taxing those below 250k

tazzygirl -> RE: Is it time to crack down on special interest groups? (8/23/2011 8:54:51 PM)

Yet the bottom 50% holds only 2.5% of the wealth.

So?

In order to gain the taxes the rich refuse to pay, the bottom 50% would have to pay in half the wealth they possess.  In essence, a 50% tax hike on the poor.
