I understand that JAS and I didn't mean to imply that you have a negative attitude. I just don't understand those who do and see themselves as headed for death rather than enjoying the NOW of life.

I understand zeph. I think sometimes, something causes us to reflect on things. I aint figgered out what this lil episode of insanity is going to teach me yet, but I am hoping it is a great thing about living even better.

Sorry for your loss, bunny.

I have feelings like JAS's all the time. I don't at all old. What is getting me recognizing my age lately (I'm 48) is that my daughter is having a baby due on Nov. 10. I've been spending quite a bit of time reflecting on life and death and what I still want to accomplish in my life.

I'm sorry for the OP's loss as well as the losses others have fealt.

Death really sucks.   I've buried more friends than average.   In some ways, I wish I could say that it gets easier to do.   The truth is that it doesn't, but I also take this as a blessing and a reminder of how much I value life.

I strongly suspect that my mother and I are going to be cursed with long lives that we don't want. I lost two dear friends in the past year, both unexpected strokes, both too young. Another friend died of a heart issue he never knew he had.

I am not a fatalist, I don't think the Fates are measuring and cutting, but we don't know how much time we have.

What's to be done, but enjoy what we have, share the love, and do the right thing whenever possib?e?
