Lucylastic -> Coburn feeling paranoid? (8/18/2011 1:43:46 PM)

Sen. Tom Coburn (R-Okla.) blasted Congress for America's financial troubles and predicted that the debt ceiling agreement would unravel this fall, calling his congressional colleagues "career elitists" and "cowards" at an event in Langley, Oklahoma on Tuesday.
"It's just a good thing I can't pack a gun on the Senate floor," Coburn said, according to the Tulsa World.

The remark comes just weeks after Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-Ariz.) returned to Congress to vote in favor of raising the nation's debt ceiling, seven months after she was shot in the head by a gunman in Tucson, Ariz.

Responding to a man in Langley who asked if Obama "wants to destroy America," Coburn said the president is "very bright" and loves his country but has a political philosophy that is "goofy and wrong."

Obama's "intent is not to destroy, his intent is to create dependency because it worked so well for him," he said.

"As an African-American male," Coburn said, Obama received "tremendous advantage from a lot of these programs."

But let's listen to all the conservatives on here talk about what a myth it is that there is any opposition to Obama due to race.

Well at least he aint cucking for his boyfriend Ensign with the ethics committee.

But blasting congress was correct, the deal was unraveled before it was made, nutsuckers saw to that. The way he went about it was typical asswipeishness.

Where in that statement do you see "opposition due to race" and not just a statement of facts...the same statements as made by Clinton and Ferraro among others?

mnottertail -> RE: Coburn feeling paranoid? (8/18/2011 2:21:23 PM)

Ferraro said that about Obama, and Clinton said it about Obama, and independantly?..........
