In a round about way she did plan it. He asked her all the things in the wedding she'd want, she told him and he did it.
But I know it wouldn't be the same for some people.

Her fiance planned this for over one year, and she thought they were going to elope in September.
I'm glad it worked out for them, obviously because he knows her well enough to know she would be happy. I would feel like I had something huge taken from me if I couldn't participate in the planning of my wedding because I love, love, love planning - many things, not just a wedding day. Personally, I would be sad, but..whoever I am with would hopefully know me well enough to know this. So, good for them, but it definitely wouldn't be my choice.
