Yes..Click the friends button then click the button "allowed Friends" and you can remove yourself from someones profile.

Go to your Friends list, click on the friend and at the bottom you'll see Remove From Friends.

Heya, lally2.  :)

Go to the Home Page.  Look for the list on the left, scroll down until you see Friends.  Click on it.  At the head of the page says Your Friends, and under it has two tabs, Friends (that show up on your friends list) and Allowed Friends (where you show up on their friends list).  Click the Allowed Friends tab.  If you click on a name there, it will ask, "Remove yourself from this user's friends list" and have a button that says Go.  Click the Go button.  It will ask for confirmation that you want to do this.  Say yes.

Ex friend has lost you from their friends list.

I am positive about every step, as to help you out, I removed myself from someone's friends list.

Doesn't that just remove them from your profile?  He went around trying to make friends with my friends so I canceled him, but I was still seen on his profile.

Now that I think of it, I think it's necessary to remove the person from Friends and Allowed Friends.

If you want to get off of their list, the other users are correct, you have to remove them from the "allowed friends" area. Removing them from the friends area gets them off yours.

K Alpha, but really I wish the feature didn't even exist. Is there a way to just say no indiscriminately ? I mean I don't want to put people off saying no, but I don't want to put people on saying yes.

And I don't want to just delete my profile. I hid it once and found that people couldn't mail me, I don't want that. I fucking routed it out, leaving no personal info to speak of, just a pic and a few things and I am cool with that for now. I probably should add to it but........

I wish the feature didn't exist. I have one pending that I do not intend to answer. This person is cool and everything but no more than another. The difference is that the social thing is more important to them. While not a notfriend, does that make them more of a friend than someonee who never bothered to ask ?

Whatever.

Termy,
Couldn't you just put a blurb in your profile about not having enough time in your life to add friends at this time?

(And people can send you cmails if your profile is hidden; they just come on this side and hit the PM button)

For the longest time, I didn't have anyone listed as a friend, and I still have a notice to the effect that I don't friend you unless I know you personally, or have interacted with you often online. As a result, I don't have any qualms about saying "No" to a friend request.

"Termy,

Time is not the problem. I don't want to start this shit. This one is now on my friendslist and then this other one, but there are others and if I don't go ask them I am neglecting them.

It is not a matter of time and I really don't want to lie.

Like on Paltalk, I will not comment on the selection of a tune. If it sounds like shit, like some idiot is transmitting it therough a mic, I will say something about that. But I will not comment good or bad on the song itself. Same reason.

If I feel the need I will do it privately. And if I REALLY like the tune I will ask who the fuck it is, but not comment. That's the only clue they get. This is because we could share several favorite tunes but one or two might be really on my shitlist. Same as opinions. It is opinions in fact.

Then perhaps something to the effect of you have made many aquaintances here and the people who are your treasured friends will know who they are and you don't feel a personal need to list them.

I feel a personal need NOT to list them. You do not want to be a known associate of mine in any venue. My people have been careful NOT to make these public connections.

They do not see when you reject the request any more than when you don't answer it at all. So you don't have to keep one pending, get it off your open stuff(my opinion). Lots of people want to be able to list friends. On my personal profile, I have very few friends, and they are from this side and I actually feel friendly towards them . I have absolutely no qualm or guilt about clicking no to someone. Nine out of ten times I have no idea who that person is, why should I worry how they might react to my no?
