Hello Ladies. Even though I have some experience with BDSM in life, I am new to the online BDSM scene. My lack of that experience got me in a bit of a dilemma or a puzzle when it comes to a profile picture. You see, I have enetered as much honest info as I could about myself through the profile page, but when it come to choosing a profile picture - I'm clueless. I do not know what kind of picture Ladies like to see when they are going through sub's profiles. I am not asking this so much as to find out how to be liked more, I am actually curious to understand what the actual Ladies perspective on the subject is. I don't want to do everything properly and then put some picture that is regarded as inadequate, offensive or just plain wrong. Are there any tips or guidelines that you might want to share with me and help me please you more by presenting myself properly? Thank you in advance, Morikvendi

The very first thread in the Ask a Mistress forum is an FAQ. Read that and you will find many good hints to make your profile better.

Thank you in advance, Morikvendi Based on my experience with many dommes, they want pretty much the same thing they'd want on a vanilla dating site -- a clear, close picture of your face that reflects what you look like in real life. They also want to get a basic idea of your physique looks like. But most of them prefer you are fully clothed and hardly any have an interest in seeing a picture of your dick.

Stay with your profile picture, I think it's fine. If you want to add other shots of you out and about in your world doing g-rated things you enjoy, that would be great. Keep your clothes on. Also, kudos on your profile. I appreciate that you avoided a kinky laundry list and were clear you are only looking for a casual alliance. While many women here might want something more, you were honest and everyone knows where they stand. Good luck in your search, enjoy your time here and hope you find what you're looking for.

The profile seems fine, and as great as it is to have a face there, maybe you should think about if you can afford to have the picture of your face in the profile, it's different if you share it in a CMail or on the profile where even the casual browsing person can see it, of course a lot depends on your personal circumstances, how "out" you are and what kind of work you do. While I like face shots in profiles, I often wonder if the person thought it all through and is prepared for possible problems, maybe if you just use shadows and light a bit?

I would like to thank you all for your comments and advices, I really appreciate them! You have made me feel welcome here. I have spent some time reading in the "Ask the Mistress" section as I promised. I have also followed some of the very useful links posted by some members and I must say that I have learned a lot. I would like to apologize to any of the Ladies that might have received my cmails before I knew what I know now. Also, even though some of you told me that my profile looks OK, I think I might work on it a little bit more. If you notice any more things in my profile that might need some fine tuning (or major overhauls), don't be shy to tell me and I can promise that I will do my best to present the true me, whatever that might be. I think the picture you chose is perfect and your profile is very well written. It's nice to see someone take the time to actually put something in a profile that tells you about themselves. And it definitely stands out from the norm here on CM, which is a good thing. :-) Great work!

Thank you Ladies, I am glad you like my work. [:)] For the sake of all future readers (you can thank Ferns for this), I have moved the looong "sexual submissive" definiton in the Journal section of my profile. Now I need to add a couple of pictures and then I think I will be satisfied. [:D]
