Greetings! I have come to find a great interest in this "scene" after reading some eye opening articles, and my friend also expressing her interest in it. Unfortunately she is out in the Navy, so I figured I would explore what I could, so when she comes hope she'll have some new things and surprises to look forward to :D I don't know what I am all into, so I want to further understand my desires and myself, and hopefully meet some new people in the process. Any suggestions for a newcomer? Any advice and help is appreciated! -F

Welcome to CM and the boards Sam. Munches are open to all, it's usually held in a restaurant or bar and is casual. Just google munch + the name of your city or largest nearest city (haven't looked at your profile, so no idea where you're located) and you should get some results. You can also go over to Fetlife, they have a search feature where you can look for events local to you. Have fun, you can meet people who live this every day, makes some friends and get some advice. Same with the forums here, read older and newer threads as suggested, use the search feature for topics that interest you and see what you find.

welcome welcome samsara6. ^_^ i agree, it's pretty cute that you're waiting on your friend. fetlife is a great way to connect with groups that are specific to your local community. and as poohbear said, Google can also help point you in the right direction. most groups are open to anyone who'd like to come, so you don't have to do an invite. some have mailing lists and presences on fetlife that you can use to get to know people a bit before dropping in; some people get gun-shy because they're worried no one will like them, or the people won't be friendly. sure that's always a possibility in any group of people, but there's also the chance that you can learn a lot, make some great friends, and have a good time. welcome and good luck!

thanks for the info! I will take the advice and run with it. Well, this friend/lover is someone I've known for a long time, and we've been through a lot as friends and our connection has grown pretty deep into something beautiful, and freeing, no title really describes or captures what we have. You grow pretty close to someone you travel, rave, and perform flesh hook suspension with ! This is something for us to explore, and to add more depth to an already amazing connection, life to the fullest! I'm curious to feel out the side of me that is outside of the "nice guy" box...
