quote:
ORIGINAL: NuevaVida I hate IE. I use Firefox. But I'm curious why others don't like FF and/or the damage it's done? FF has a very specific look & feel (L&F) (the feel in particular in FF's case), which people tend to either like a lot, or think is terrible. I'm in the latter camp. There's nothing "wrong" with it as a browser, per se - it's all just personal preference. If you like FF, stick with FF. quote:
ORIGINAL: NuevaVida I haven't heard of Chrome. Can someone bring me up to speed? *boggle* You're kidding, yes? Chrome is Google's idea of a browser; it's got a L&F closer to IE than FF, but with a much cleaned up look. It's fairly solid, use-wise, and is growing in popularity. http://lmgtfy.com/?q=google+chrome I use IE and Chrome on my "personal" laptop (there are still some sites, like my bank's, that don't like anything except IE, since that's what most commercial test folk use to test with). On the "work" laptop I have all three, in order to confirm what my techies tell me, in terms of a given site working, or not, with IE, FF or Chrome.
