ALTADENA, Calif. (AP) — Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies have released a video of a barking Chihuahua angrily chasing off robbers at an Altadena smoke shop.

The video, released Monday, shows two hooded men, one armed with a rifle, running into the Ace Smoke Shop on July 7 and demanding money. As the store owner begins putting money in a backpack carried by one of the men, the owner's Chihuahua begins barking incessantly and jumping at the men, chasing them out of the store and down the street.

At one point, one of the men even points his rifle at the Chihuahua, but the dog is undaunted.
Neither the store owner, nor the dog was injured.

My last dog was 75# and I always thought I'd want another big one for protection but I see that's not necessary.

I remember 2# Chihuahuas getting froggy with the Husky at dog beach...

Those little dogs are fearless. An ex had one. Best watchdog I ever saw. Not the smartest breed in the world, though. He took on a German Shepherd and that was that.

just goes to show how stupid and scared most robbers are, I would have kicked the little rat so hard it would have landed in a different state and continued my robbery
